Lighter weight Zin (if that's possible at 13.5%). Fruit cake fruits are faint, at best, but the oak is a bit hard in the back palate, relative to the fruit weight. A bit simple to raise interest.

Fairly dark red, but not completely opaque. Smells like sweet red berries. Fruity on palate, somewhat simplistic, not coherent overall, alcohol feels high, but blew off somewhat after a while. Simple, drinkable, average.

Had this with the neighbors over barbecued pork, and grilled potato slices. We decanted for about an hour. Garnet to purple in the glass. The nose gave off strong red berry notes, along with a considerable amount of heat. Unfortunately, the heat didn't blow off when it hit the palate, and this tasted very hot and tight. Very tart, rasberry notes on the front of the palate, and the heat and tannins really showed up on the mid to back palate. The finish was ok, with more tart fruit, and some pepper. This drank a little young, and maybe needed more time in the decanter, but I'm not sure the structure or complexity points to anything more than an 87 in the future for this. Certainly not a bad wine to drink over dinner with friends, and not bad at $12.99. But I would probably try a different Zin in the future.

Had with grilled veggie burgers -- 30 minute breathing time. Honeysuckle spice on the nose. Not our favorite Coppola, but like all others we've tried, very enjoyable.

The legs are slow. The wine looks garnet colored.

It was a good cooking wine. This recipe requires a wine with depth that can stand the measure of 2 hours of heat and still hold its flavor.

Not exactly terrible but a disjoint mess of harsh fruit and thin awkward tannins.

Monolithic, short, simple, and overoaked. What more do I need to say? Not BAD, but not all that appealing.
