0.375. A gravelly good forest fruited wine which improved throughout the meal. At Bistrot du Parlement Pierre in Bordeaux. This was a good match for duck fillet and Gesiers and Fromage de Brebis. Drink in next 5-10 years+. Needs 3-4 hrs aeration to open up. 13.5%. (373 views)

A real pleasure to drink good but not excellent Bdx on the fruit. This wine is clearly at an apex now if you want that smooth, blackcurrant drink with beautifully balanced tannins and acidity. The color is deep ruby, but still transparent. The nose is dominated by primary fruit like blackcurrant and blueberries, but also with some nice secondary tones of bread and vanilla. The alcohol shines somewhat trough on the nose. Medium to full bodied attack, sweet blackcurrant and cherry fruit on the mid palate, sweet and smooth tannins, fine acidity, and a fresh and salivating finish dominated by black cherry, blackcurrant, and a hint of coffee and citrus (!) in the aftertaste. The alcohols is not present in the finish. This will probably age well foo those who like their wine with less fruit and more tertiary aromas. Wonderful now, but not exactly exciting. (190 views)

👅 Medium-bodied (ABV 13.5%) with firm yet soft tannins, lively acidity and a smooth, but short finish

📝 Lush and soft. The tannins still have some bite yet they are coating the palate in a very pleasant way. Hard to pin down any flavors on the palate. Sadly the nose is weak too, especially with some time in the glass. I’m glad I didn’t decant. The lush mouthfeel is the hi-light of the wine, which I did enjoy.

Paired with chuck burgers with homemade bread. (112 views)

Dried fruits, something nutty but i can't discern what nut. And definitely dry sherry.

The citrusy fruits notes are pretty much gone.
