Day 2 for bottle. Marked improvement over day 1 - demonstrates the need for a few years in bottle, IMO. Dark crimson. Earth, sour cherry and raspberry a touch of tea on the nose. Confirmed those elements when tasted, with a bit of strawberry in the mix. The oak and the structure receded so the fruit came through more. Overall, very nice indeed. (599 views)

Bright red, very transparent and bright. Evidently not dense or extracted - even a bit pale/watery at the bricking edges. Nose of earth, dried cherries. Fresh is the first word I think of, then earthy and savory with a touch of sweetness and a bit of bitterness/spiciness coming from the stems. Some tannin on the finish. A good drink now. On the first night, I opened this and decided it was well over the hill or suffering from storage issues, but re-corked it and left it for night 2. What a difference. It gained weight and fruit...earth, forest floor, black cherry and Vosne spice. Very nice,with integrated tannins. Enjoyable. (3716 views)
