Tasted by pcarmich on 12/23/2015 & rated 91 points: Bricking is noticeable. The nose has some cherries but encased in worn leather. The palate is very elegant with some tertiary notes showing. The tannic structure is well balanced by the acidity, making this a very versatile drink. Drink now! (1562 views)
Tasted by eastover on 3/4/2011: Friday with the IC team at Eileen's for make your own pizza team lunch. Wine enjoyed by all - opened up as time went by. Drank about half and was given the rest to bring home. 6 hours after opening was even better with salad and cheese at home with Jill. Still some left - to be enjoyed with Lee, Lisa, David and Yansi on Saturday night at Lee and Lisa's. (2757 views)
Tasted by pcarmich on 9/10/2009 & rated 92 points: Beautiful dried cherries on the nose and the initial attack on the palate. Then I get a complex infusion of spices with just a hint of leather and petrol. Tannins are nicely integrated with a fresh acidity and a surprisingly long finish. Beautiful wine. (3227 views)
(3077 views)
Tasted by rklafter on 1/22/2005: Extremely enjoyable bottle. plum, spice, sweet palate. Shows it's pedigree but also it's price. Nice for what it was, wine for dinner. (2893 views)
Tasted by JJA on 1/22/2005: Went well with pasta. Really nice aroma. Wish it were more full-bodied. But a nice chianti for the price. Repurchase, but not in bulk. (3745 views)
Tasted by Sartorius on 12/14/2004 & rated 87 points: Smoky menthol nose of cinnamon and currant. Smooth & chocolatey in the mouth with a lingering oaky note. Inoffensive, good table wine, though the price is a bit high for that standard. (1912 views)
Tasted by Doug House on 12/5/2004: Took several hours to really get going, moving from tight and polished to rich/open/ripe smells and flavors. Shows its oak, but not obtrusively. With time, loose knit, warm, and friendly. Similar to the 2000 Fontodi, but more raspberry/less black cherry. Nice and getting nicer over the past year. (1960 views)
