Tasted by SuperSomm on 1/29/2024: Medium garnet colour. Pronounced and developed nose with raisin, fig, prune, roasted hazelnut and caramel. Pronounced taste of prune, fig, raisins, roasted hazelnut and caramel. Long and sweet finish. Medium acidity. Full body. A very good 10 year Tawny. Drink now or over the next five years. Goes well with caramel or nut based desserts. (1631 views)
Tasted by repoper on 1/20/2024 & rated 90 points: Perfect weather to pop a bottle in front of the fire. For a 10 year old tawny it pretty damm good. Caramel, strawberry, prunes and a bit of burnt honey. Still a bit of acidity that balances the sweetness and delivers a very nice mouthfeel. Not complex but for what it it, it’s very good.  Tasted by AD_jutant on 1/5/2024 & rated 88 points: I revisit this Port every time I fly through the Zurich airport as it is served in frequent-traveller lounges. I’m always excited for it because it’s by far the best wine offered.

On the nose, there are prunes and raisins followed by distinct caramel and toffee. There are more distant aromas of coffee and oak, maraschino cherries.
On the palate, it’s very full bodied and a little too high in alcohol for me as the burn continues through the finish and lingers a little bit. The acidity is medium. There is more coffee now, some dates and stewed plums. Red fruit pie with brown sugar and explicit cloves.
Despite the alcohol burn, the finish is mostly pleasant with the red fruit and coffee notes.

Tasted by isaacjamesbaker on 12/21/2023 & rated 90 points: A rich tawny color with classic, deep aromas of roasted figs, golden raisins, sweet plums, and candied orange peels, along with coffee, toffee, and scents of almond cake and roasted pecans. The palate is sweet and plush with a rich texture and medium acidity. Delicious flavors of golden raisins, fig and currant compote, prunes, accented with toasted peanuts and candied pecans, with a salted caramel and honeyed finish. Undeniably delicious, and a great intro into the tawny style at a great price. (1879 views)
Tasted by sjfunkenhauser on 11/20/2023 & rated 89 points: Light garnet colour.

Pronounced aromas of raisins, dates, prunes, baked figs, caramel, nutmeg, cinnamon, Christmas cake, dried lavender.

Pronounced palate.

Full body, high acidity, medium (-) tannins, high alcohol, sweet, long finish. (2025 views)
Tasted by Incurable_Botrytis on 11/4/2023 & rated 86 points: As far as port goes definitely leans more on the higher acid, higher sweetness side of the scale. Solid, reliable port but not great QPR at $30-$35 IMO. (1534 views)

Tasted by Paul852 on 10/6/2023 & rated 87 points: It's hard to know what to write here. Classic 10yr tawny. Fairly straightforward. Perhaps a little acidic. (1640 views)

Tasted by Rick & Ilsa on 7/4/2023 & rated 90 points: Slow ox, drank next to the Grahams 20. Sweet dark fruits, spice, wood, nuts, chocolate and plums. Interesting to drink the 10 and 20 next to each other. Seem to me there is a bigger stylistic jump here than between the 20 to 30, 30 to 40. A nice with that went well with a variety of desserts.  Tasted by jackaroo on 6/10/2023 & rated 91 points: A benchmark for 10 year old tawnys. Worthwhile if you’re lucky enough to find it. (1939 views)

Tasted by drwine2001 on 5/2/2023: Tasting at Graham’s (Vila Nova de Gaia, Portugal): Salted nuts. Elegant weight and feel, not nearly as sweet as the VP’s. Flavors of caramel and citrus peel. Excellent. (2677 views)

Tasted by Thegreen1985 on 12/24/2022 & rated 88 points: Portuguese fortified wine from Douro Valley: Touriga Nacional, Alicante Bouschet, Tinta Amarela and Touriga Franca. 20 % alcohol. Aged in oak barrels for an average of ten years.

Pale ruby red color.

Warm aromas of walnut liquor. Powerful and complex flavors of raisins, walnuts, sour cherries, hazelnuts and caramel.

Sweet. Light body. Medium acidity. Smooth tannins. Good balance. Good structure. Very complex.

Long finish with walnut and sour cherries.

A very enjoyable Tawny Port. It combines freshness with maturity in a very nice way. 88/100 (2576 views)
Tasted by Port-Lover on 12/21/2022 & rated 85 points: The last time I drank this wine I noted a strong medical touch. After tasting this wine for a second time, I think the first bottle was flawed and I revoked my score from back then.
But still I think that the alcohol is not well integrated and stands out too much. Of course you can find everything you look for in a 10yo in this as well, but it feels off at some points.
Aside of this I don't want to add much. It's a classic Tawny, aside from the alcohol notes exactly what I expected. I believe you can find better for that money. (2382 views)
Tasted by Elodie Grace on 10/21/2022 & rated 89 points: Good.
I didn't find this as complex as the Taylor Fladgate 10 year Tawny.
I grew on me as I made my way through the bottle though.
Just love tawny port. (2740 views)
Tasted by Lars Bars on 10/16/2022 & rated 89 points: Still drinking well. Not too jammy (2254 views)
Tasted by theportguy on 9/23/2022 & rated 90 points: 2022 Port Harvest Tour; 9/22/2022-10/2/2022 (Porto, Portugal): This wine has a lovely amber hue and offers dusty red fruit on the nose, a smooth mouthfeel, and notes of strawberry and red fruits. Dusty tannins on the mid-palate lead to a nice, smooth, long finish. (1071 views)
Tasted by marcstevens45 on 8/14/2022 & rated 88 points: Drank last night so not too many notes but still I can say it’s very tasty. Really nice acidity and dried fruits dominate. (2585 views)
Tasted by misfits on 8/1/2022: Drank with Chuck and Keith. Campfire nightcap. Beautiful (2471 views)
Tasted by mwagner7700 on 7/20/2022: Purchased for $30. This is a clear, dark tawny color but with reddish hues throughout. Those reddish hues hint that this is more complex then your typical 10-Year Tawny. Simply delicious notes of caramel, hazelnut, butterscotch and figs. But also fainter notes of red berry, raspberry and red cherry. So complex. I love the delicious toffee on the finish. Wonderful, mouth watering acidity. Mouth coating flavors with a long, long finish. No heat at all. So well balanced. This is truly delicious stuff. Graham's is the measuring stick for all other Ports. Bravo. Grade: A (2453 views)
Tasted by Jessie and Max on 6/17/2022: Raisin, rec cherry, cedar, cinnamon, milk chocolate, black plum, forest air. Medium intensity nose. On the palate, sweet but not overly so; full but not syrupy. A little bit of Amontialldo-like saline on the nice, long finish. We're just beginning to explore Port, but this certainly encourages us to try more. (2403 views)

N.V. Graham Porto 10 Year Old Tawny

Graham’s 10 Years Old is made from wines of the very highest quality which, following careful selection, are matured in seasoned oak casks of 534 litres until their peak of maturity is reached. These are among the most demanding and challenging styles of Port to produce requiring great skill and years of experience from the winemaker and blender. It is essential to strike the correct balance between the delicacy and elegance which results from prolonged cask ageing while retaining the fruit quality which lends this old Tawny its structure and longevity.
* Tasting Notes: Fine deep tawny colour, with complex nutty aromas combined with hints of honey and figs. On the palate, rich mature fruit flavours, beautifully mellowed and a luscious long finish.
* Food pairing suggestion and serving: Graham’s 10 Years Old Tawny is a perfect match to sweet pastries, such as apple pie with cinnamon. Taste slightly chilled to appreciate the full complexity and sensuous pleasure of this wine. An excellent alternative to Vintage Port at less formal occasions. Will keep for some weeks after opening.
* Wine Specifications: Alcohol: 20% vol (20oC) Total acidity: 4.15 g/l tartaric acid Baumé: 3.6

Port Blend

Over a hundred varieties of grapes (castas) are sanctioned for port production, although only five (Tinta Barroca, Tinto Cão, Tinta Roriz (Tempranillo), Touriga Francesa, and Touriga Nacional) are widely cultivated and used.
