Tasted by ikkaariainen on 7/24/2022 & rated 91 points: Enjoyed at a Chaine des Rotisseurs dinner in Charlotte NC at the Figtree restaurant paired with a course of lobster brioche and grilled corn and paired excellently. Highly recommend, a very good QPR at the average CT cost and drinking superbly well - mature and at peak or maybe slightly past peak - drink not hold. Clear with a slight yellow tint, soft mouth feel, medium bodied, very well integrated, lovely acid and fruit present and a very pleasant medium long aftertaste. Nose of yellow apple, pear and a hint of anise. Flavor profile beautiful with good acidic freshness throughout, a warmer fruitier start with apple, peach and green melon with a more steely minerally finish. (575 views)
Tasted by 3daywinereview.com on 2/19/2019 & rated 90 points: Day 1: Peaking. White peaches, stone fruit, floral and flint. Balanced and good acidity. Medium plus finish. Outstanding value for around $14 a bottle. 90 points
Day 3: Still solid but not the vibrant wine from day 1. A little Carmel notes along with floral and flint. The fruit is not as bright and fading. This wine should be consumed now. 85 points
Recommendation: Drink in 2019! (1456 views)
Tasted by 3daywinereview.com on 12/21/2018 & rated 90 points: Day 1: Floral, minerals, orange peel and apricot. Tasty but not overall complex. This certainly is near peak performance. Solid. 90 points
Day 3: Should have drank this on day 1.
Recommendation: Drink now! (1472 views)
Tasted by 3daywinereview.com on 7/22/2018 & rated 91 points: 1Day Review: Fresh and vibrant. Lemon, citrus, chalk and wet stones. Medium plus finish and several years left on this one. 90 points
Day 2 Review: This is still drinking really well. Citrus fruits, lemon oil, spices, wafer and wet stone. Medium plus finish and great acidity. This is a super wine and a great value at the $15 I paid for it. 91 points
Recommendation: This did not make it to day 3. Too tasty on day 2. Buy this if you can get it at $15 and drink over the next couple years. (1606 views)
Tasted by 3daywinereview.com on 5/20/2018 & rated 91 points: Day 1: Very enjoyable. More formal review on day 2.
Day 2 Review: Nose of saline, lemon oil, orange peel and spice. On the palate very nice spice, minerals, oranges, lemon oil and saline. Short to medium finish. Picks up a little Carmel 30 seconds later. Very refreshing wine and should hold form for 3 or more years. Will revisit day 3. 91 points
Day 3: Nose not as intense and palate follows suite. For sure this is not as good as day 2. 87 points
Recommendation: Should cellar well for 3 years but best enjoyable on day 2. (1647 views)

Tasted by galewskj on 1/30/2018 & rated 90 points: John Rater hosts at the Edina Country Club: For a "Rhone" blend, I found this to be easy drinking and pleasant. It has ample fruit, good floral components and a slight bubble gum flavor. Rich mouth-coating viscosity. (1301 views)
Tasted by 3daywinereview.com on 1/28/2018 & rated 91 points: Annual CDP Tasting (Edina Country Club): This is drinking really well right now. Floral, apricots, stone fruit and a nice minerality streak on the finish. Balanced and well made. Drink now or hold a few more years. 54% Grenache Blanc, 25% Viognier, 13% Roussanne and 8% Marsanne. (1150 views)
Tasted by rocknroller on 1/28/2018 & rated 91 points: The Revival of the ECC Group: Annual CDP Tasting (Edina Country Club, Edina, MN): Pale gold color. Drank 1 glass over 40 minutes. This was a nice surprise. A blend of 54GB, 25V, 13R, & 8M, this seems to offer the best all of them. There's a lot of complexity both on the nose and palate. The nose is aromatic with a strong burst of stony minerality, sea air, diesel, and white fruits. The palate has some body and texture to it, actually a bit oily, lemon, dried apples, peach, wet stone, oak and some vanilla fill this out. Quite a nice QPR that shows itself to be age worthy too.  Tasted by wilypod on 6/13/2016 & rated 85 points: Excellent balance with some palate complexity but it seemed to have more zest in the nose and finish last year. 4 + 11 + 15 + 5 (1584 views)

Tasted by Ombibulous on 7/19/2015: Brought this to the family reunion on Lake Michigan last week. Steve and I liked it. He and Katrina visited Tablas Creek a few years ago. I found this wine balanced and flavourful. 54% Grenache Blanc, 25% Viognier, 13% Roussanne, and 8% Marsanne. Mix of melon, peach, pear, and honeysuckle. Supple texture. Fenugreek and aniseed flavours linger. Rated 91 by Wine Spectator. (1195 views)

Tasted by Martin Redmond on 7/5/2015 & rated 90 points: Wines At Our Table; July 5th 2015: Pale yellow color with appealing stone fruit, melon, white flowers and a bit a mineral aromas. On the palate, it's medium-bodied and well structured with zesty acidity, and a wonderful texture. It shows apricot, peach, and lemon zest flavors with a lingering mineral laced finish. Blend of 54% Grenache Blanc,25% Viognier,13% Roussanne
and 8% Marsanne Superb value at $20! (1380 views)
Tasted by Corgoson on 7/5/2015 & rated 89 points: Nose: light lychee meat, strong peach, lemon. Fruit forward with crisp aroma. A bit of mineral and something like the smell of a newly opened electronic (eg. Laptop). Taste: peach central with hint a milky (not creamy) peach cobbler notes. White flower undertone. Good milky texture. Cracked peppercorn in the finish. A bit of unsweetened yogurt. Very unique profile especially clean and dry profile coming out when the wine is cold. Tasted at RT. It doesn't match my personal preference, otherwise 90+. (923 views)
Tasted by thirsty_cat on 7/5/2015 & rated 88 points: Nose: fruit forward with notes of ripe lychee, peach, lemon zest, with hints of wet stone and white florals. Very attractive. Taste: dry, medium body with a silky smooth texture. Delicious notes of peach cobbler with vanilla ice cream, white florals, white pepper, and apricot and white grapefruit bringing a welcomed acidity. Very clean finish (not rich). Well balanced; I am especially appreciating the effort to integrate the florals with fruit here (to my taste, preferable at just slightly cooler than room temp, as the florals come through more strongly when cold). Enjoyable and interesting, but would prefer some additional depth - a little too restrained! 89 (1035 views)

Tablas Creek

Producer website
Tablas Creek Vineyard, founded by the Perrin family of Chateau de Beaucastel and Robert Haas of Vineyard Brands, is dedicated to growing grape varieties traditional to France's Rhone Valley. The partners chose hilly western Paso Robles for its limestone soils, rugged terrain, and ocean influence. All Tablas Creek wines are estate grown using environmentally sustainable practices.

White Rhone Blend

A white wine containing two or more Rhône varieties, including: Viognier, Marsanne, Roussanne, Clairette, Grenache Blanc and Bourboulenc.

USA

American wine has been produced since the 1500s, with the first widespread production beginning in New Mexico in 1628. Today, wine production is undertaken in all fifty states, with California producing 84% of all U.S. wine. The continent of North America is home to several native species of grape, including Vitis labrusca, Vitis riparia, Vitis rotundifolia, and Vitis vulpina, but the wine-making industry is based almost entirely on the cultivation of the European Vitis vinifera, which was introduced by European settlers. With more than 1,100,000 acres (4,500 km2) under vine, the United States is the fourth-largest wine producing country in the world, after Italy, Spain, and France.

2021 vintage: "Unlike almost all other areas of the state, the Russian River Valley had higher than normal crops in 2021, which has made for a wine of greater generosity and fruit forwardness than some of its stablemates." - Morgan Twain-Peterson
