Tasted by tward on 9/9/2016 & rated 90 points: Still drinking beautifully coming up on two years since harvest. Provencal perfection in the U.S.A. Even though this showed increasing yellow tint with some air, it never dented the crisp, bright, mineral, spice and floral profile. (1826 views)
Tasted by Hansen73 on 7/14/2016 & rated 90 points: Usually preferring rose from Provence, this was one of the best domestic roses I've had. (1814 views)
Tasted by wilypod on 6/26/2016 & rated 85 points: Light salmon pink color, watermelon nose, refreshing on the palate with lively acidity, short finish. Cleanly made, more a white wine but stood up to spicy chicken. 4+10+16 +5 (1919 views)
Tasted by Birorganic on 6/21/2016 & rated 91 points: Picked up weight. All together now. Delicious. Complex. Great acid Sour patch candy fruit. Yummy wine. (1869 views)
Tasted by jonahfactor on 9/25/2015: From its bronze copper color to its zesty finish, there's a lot to like about this offering from TCV. We've almost polished off the case, given how many hot summer evenings we've had. Great fruit. Perfectly balanced. Not one to take too seriously. Just sip or serve with light summer fare.  Tasted by jsherdc on 9/8/2015 & rated 87 points: Ok , but bitter finish (996 views)
Tasted by Martin Redmond on 8/18/2015 & rated 89 points: Wines At Our Table; August 23rd 2015; 8/17/2015-8/23/2015: Pale salmon color with aromas of my favorite summertime red fruits - strawberry and raspberry with hints of watermelon. On the palate it's medium-bodied with refreshing acidity and strawberry, raspberry, watermelon and mixed citrus of orange and lemon flavors with an appealing mineral note and a satisfying finish. (1426 views)
Tasted by Motz on 7/31/2015 & rated 88 points: Strawberry, raspberry, and cranberry driven bouquet and palate. Lively, vibrant, and tasty. The finish came up just a bit short. (1354 views)
Tasted by Anthony Lombardi on 7/17/2015 & rated 90 points: Pale salmon color. Mostly Grenache with small amounts of Mourvedre & Counoise. This is a lighter styled rose, one which provides terrific refreshment and is bright and clean. The most striking thing to me on this wine is the balance. Elegant and light melon with a serious acidic backbone. Bright and dry in the mouth, this shows some textural pedigree which exceeded expectation. I loved the initial layer of minerality before the melon gently took over the mid palate & finish. Paired with a delicately smoked speck this wine played off that smoky flavor beautifully.

Excellent rose and a QPR/value winner. Tablas Creek always delivers. (1264 views)
Tasted by CADomer on 7/4/2015 & rated 89 points: Clean and elegant. Quite nice. (951 views)
Tasted by isaacjamesbaker on 6/18/2015 & rated 86 points: Rhone Rangers DC (Longview Gallery - Washington, DC): So pale. Bright strawberries, white cherries, clean and salty and floral. Roses and daisies. Tasty stuff. A blend of 80% Grenache, 17% Mourvedre, 3% Counoise. (1483 views)
Tasted by smphelps on 6/15/2015 & rated 89 points: Light tan salmon. Apple/strawberry restrained nose with tart cherry. Juicy cherry and strawberry with a bit of firm grass. Medium length. Very pleasant summer wine. (782 views)
Tasted by BrentM on 5/30/2015 & rated 88 points: Light salmon color

Citrus rind, stone fruit, and mineralogy on the nose.

Palate mirrors the nose with a bit more fruit. Great acidity.

Falls apart a bit as it warms up and/or sits open for a while, but avoid either of those and it's a great, refreshing, rose. (872 views)
Tasted by tward on 5/30/2015: Had outside grilling, so no notes, but this was really nice. Pale color, Provencal-looking, crisp, firm, with a touch of sweetness somewhere. Stones and stone fruit. Very nice rose. (807 views)
Tasted by jonahfactor on 4/11/2015: Tablas Creek Tasting (At the Vineyard): A bargain. Chill well; this offering begins to fall apart as it reaches room temp. Very, very pale rose/orange hued and not releasing much in the bouquet right now. But explodes on the palate (for a rose' at least) with plenty of medium-ripe cherries, citrus and brook stones. A bright and lingering finish. Might be our favorite Patelin rose' yet. (1194 views)
Tasted by Birorganic on 4/4/2015 & rated 89 points: Very good Rosé. Not as complex as 2013 (a blockbuster). Clean fruit, maybe too clean. Needs a little more heft, maybe more Mourvèdre and less filtering? I still like it. (863 views)

Tablas Creek

Producer website
Tablas Creek Vineyard, founded by the Perrin family of Chateau de Beaucastel and Robert Haas of Vineyard Brands, is dedicated to growing grape varieties traditional to France's Rhone Valley. The partners chose hilly western Paso Robles for its limestone soils, rugged terrain, and ocean influence. All Tablas Creek wines are estate grown using environmentally sustainable practices.

Red Rhone Blend

Read about the different grapes used to produce red and white Rhone wines
On CellarTracker, Red Rhone Blend is the term for a wine consisting of two or more of the traditional 13 Southern Rhone grape varieties. Typically it's the Grenache, Syrah, Mourvedre or Cinsault grapes, but can also contain the Muscardin, Counoise, Clairette, Bourboulenc, Picpoul, Roussanne, Terret Noir, Picardan or Vaccarese grapes.

A 'food' wine. Lacking pretension and intended for local consumption with local cuisine. Lacks the 'high' notes on a Bordeaux, more earthy and sharper so often a better partner to meat dishes with a sauce.

USA

American wine has been produced since the 1500s, with the first widespread production beginning in New Mexico in 1628. Today, wine production is undertaken in all fifty states, with California producing 84% of all U.S. wine. The continent of North America is home to several native species of grape, including Vitis labrusca, Vitis riparia, Vitis rotundifolia, and Vitis vulpina, but the wine-making industry is based almost entirely on the cultivation of the European Vitis vinifera, which was introduced by European settlers. With more than 1,100,000 acres (4,500 km2) under vine, the United States is the fourth-largest wine producing country in the world, after Italy, Spain, and France.

2021 vintage: "Unlike almost all other areas of the state, the Russian River Valley had higher than normal crops in 2021, which has made for a wine of greater generosity and fruit forwardness than some of its stablemates." - Morgan Twain-Peterson
