Tasted by Mbad77 on 4/17/2024 & rated 95 points: This was fantastic - took and drank at a restaurant so no real notes- opened up quite tight and lean
Soon opened up and showed terrific power and energy

Tasted by fcxj on 2/24/2024 & rated 92 points: Modest matchstick and good zest. (L000123) (820 views)
Tasted by lepetitchateau on 1/27/2024 & rated 95 points: Clearly a yum wine. Has earthiness and weight, quite delicious. (602 views)
Tasted by DougLee on 12/30/2023 & rated 94 points: Pale gold. Nose of alpine-edged white flowers, cool saline, white grapefruit, apple, precision flint. A hint of matchstick quickly blowing off. Layers of delicate but steely citrus, tense apple core, and diesel on the exquisitely-textured palate. Tingly acidity and aristocratic spine. Long finish of grapefruit, apple slice, mountain stream ice water, and a bit of cream. An amazing wine, just getting started. (665 views)
Tasted by Musinus on 4/26/2023 & rated 94 points: Bright butterscotch, key lime, and grapefruit scents. Elegant, crisp, lively mineral and citrus-driven flavors concealing a hint of brioche. Ample concentration and poise with longevity to spare. An outstanding foil to the caviar tasting menu we enjoyed at Ciel Bleu in Amsterdam. (1541 views)
Tasted by hprphf on 4/15/2023 & rated 94 points: Seems like a highly reduction Leflaive vintage. Sesame, white fruit, flint, pure, broad and very big. Great precision on the palate. Easy WOTN slightly ahead of the 97 Pucelles. 94+ (1571 views)
Tasted by Alex G. on 2/17/2023: So youthful, quite primary - has Leflaive finally slain the premox dragon? Refined and vibrant, but taut and begging for more time to sleep. (1469 views)
Tasted by Pbritton on 12/25/2022: Turks (1289 views)
Tasted by cubswinws on 12/25/2022 & rated 94 points: Incredible rich and intoxicating chardonnay. (1546 views)
Tasted by Burgundy Al on 10/13/2022 & rated 94 points: Domaine Leflaive Dinner with Brice de La Morandière (Oriole - Chicago IL): Outright excellent now with further upside potential. Floral and spiced with lots of orchard fruit everywhere, plus citrus and peach hints coming and going. All with great Grand Cru-like concentration, so layered and complex with more to come. (2165 views)
Tasted by Gas Station Wine Guy on 8/16/2022 & rated 92 points: This was very tight & closed. Hard to judge but came across as very very young. (1283 views)
Tasted by Alex G. on 5/27/2022: Served blind, this came across as too young to fully appreciate. Massive tension, alluring texture, will be a classic in time if it doesn't succumb to premox. (1377 views)
Tasted by Janstan on 4/1/2022 & rated 92 points: Went well with a turkey and mushroom phyllo calzone (1465 views)
Tasted by ove_stammrud on 12/12/2021: Klokkeklar, frisk og ren lichi, noe pen eik, mynte og nydelig floralitet. (1739 views)
Tasted by Greg07 on 11/1/2020 & rated 95 points: Amazing multi layered complexity in this Puligny. First bottle I opened from Leflaive (glad I have many more!), what surprises is the flintstone/silex nose, before the finesse and power in the mouth ... and the aftertaste ... minutes of pure pleasure ! It drinks very well now and can age for may many years. I drank it with a simple chanterelles toast, a very good combination (3018 views)
Tasted by phgnan on 8/21/2020 & rated 94 points: Incredible puligny. Definitely drunk too early but already incredibly interesting. 3 hours of decanting. Complex bouquet. Dominant fruit and vanilla with a delicate acidity. (2007 views)
Tasted by Janstan on 7/17/2020 & rated 91 points: Delicious, good mineralogy, lemon, melon. Had on a warm afternoon with cheeses. (2688 views)
Tasted by lepetitchateau on 3/8/2020 & rated 94 points: I am sure that this will rise to further heights but it is great now. Crystalline, pure integration of acid and fruit, spice, intensity and length. (2972 views)
Tasted by kr522 on 10/20/2019 & rated 95 points: This is fantastic already, the nose is off the charts and the mouth has great balance of fruit, acidity, and minerals. It’s delicate yet the depth is apparent....charm today with room to evolve (3077 views)
Tasted by vinkeger on 8/3/2019 & rated 94 points: Luftet i en times tid. Sitrongul med grønnskjær farge. Massiv men fortsatt understated nese. Eik, fat, eucapytus. Kjølig. Vanvittig vin i munn! Utrolig kraft og konsentrasjon. Intens, men slank. Chablis-aktig østerssmak. Vibrerende som få. Røykpreget mineralitet. Lang finish. Grand Cru kvalitet. 2 år med lagring er en dråpe i havet foreløpig. Må nok ha minst 5 år til. Etter å ha hvilt noen timer på karaffel er det slående hvor uhyre kjølig, presis og røykfylt denne vinen er. (2700 views)
Tasted by Alex G. on 7/26/2019: Served blind. Clean, precise, with zippy acidity and noteworthy balance. Very pure. Good showing, one of the more accessible '14's tasted today. (2304 views)
Tasted by hprphf on 4/6/2019 & rated 90 points: Acker April Auction 2019 (sad day) (Marea): Firm and tight, but not giving much. 90 (2960 views)
Tasted by jrh82 on 8/11/2018 & rated 96 points: Initially only Leflaive Pucelles '09 was to be opened this evening, however when it disappointed due to premox we popped this one too. It only got 30-45 mins in the decanter, but already at the very first sniff we could tell this was going to be something special. he level of acidity and minerality was completely off the charts, followed by intense fruit, green apple, wet stone which combined brought balanced to the wine. This wine clearly could do with several years in the cellar in order for the intensity to drop somewhat but damn how charming and fun this wine is already today. This wine is an experience. (3162 views)
Tasted by chatters on 8/22/2017: Pyramid Valley (Best Cellars, Crown Street): Rich, buttery, polished oak over muted lemon and stone fruit. Juicy and quite sharp but without being angular. Big citric tang and then drying front of mouth grip. Quite 'big' compared with the pyramid valleys. The fruit persist boldly beneath this. Yum. (4185 views)
Tasted by Barry Rothof on 3/27/2017 & rated 94 points: A Few Whites: Piercing citrus aromas, with gathering weight, spice and intense minerality on the palate. Yet very youthful, with amazing tension, length and potential. (4141 views)

Burgundy

Les vins de Bourgogne (Bureau interprofessionnel des vins de Bourgogne) (and in English)

Burgundy - The province of eastern France, famous for its red wines produced from Pinot Noir and its whites produced from Chardonnay. (Small of amounts of Gamay and Aligoté are still grown, although these have to be labeled differently.) The most famous part of the region is known as the Cote d'Or (the Golden Slope). It is divided into the Cote de Beaune, south of the town of Beaune (famous principally for its whites), and the Cote de Nuits, North of Beaune (home of the most famous reds). In addition, the Cote Chalonnaise and the Maconnais are important wine growing regions, although historically a clear level (or more) below the Cote d'Or. Also included by some are the regions of Chablis and Auxerrois, farther north.

# 2013 Vintage Notes:
* "2013 is a vintage that 20 years ago would have been a disaster." - Will Lyons
* "low yields and highly variable reds, much better whites." - Bill Nanson
* "Virtually all wines were chaptalised, with a bit of sugar added before fermentation to increase the final alcohol level." - Jancis Robinson

# 2014 Vintage Notes:
"We have not had such splendid harvest weather for many years. This will ensure high quality (fragrant, classy and succulent are words already being used) across the board, up and down the hierarchy and well as consistently from south to north geographically apart from those vineyards ravaged by the hail at the end of June." - Clive Coates

# 2015 Vintage Notes:
"Low yields and warm weather allowed for ample ripeness, small berries and an early harvest. Quality is looking extremely fine, with some people whispering comparisons with the outstanding 2005 vintage. Acid levels in individual wines may be crucial." - Jancis Robinson

# 2017 Vintage Notes:
"Chablis suffered greatly from frost in 2017, resulting in very reduced volumes. As ever, the irony seems to be that what remains is very good quality, as it is in the Côte d’Or. Cooler nights across the region have resulted in higher-than-usual acidity, with good conditions throughout the harvest season allowing for ripe, healthy fruit." - Jancis Robinson

# 2018 Vintage Notes:
"The most successful region for red Burgundy in 2018 was the Côte de Beaune. The weather was ideal in this area, with just enough sunlight and rain to produce perfectly balanced wines naturally." - Vinfolio
