Tasted by guzmana on 5/9/2020 & rated 92 points: Delightful. Golden colored with medium body and complex aromas and a solid acidity and dry backbone. (763 views)
Tasted by guzmana on 12/16/2018 & rated 91 points: Very nice PG with the Alsacian character of medium body. Has pineapplenoted and somehow feels honeyed despite being dry. (988 views)
Tasted by RogerG on 1/10/2015: (1 of 2) Rich, deep golden, intense (1296 views)
Tasted by Old John on 1/24/2014 & rated 90 points: Agree that this one is getting fatter and more flowery with age, but its still very good. If you like your Trimbach more on the crisp side, drink up. (4329 views)
Tasted by yofog on 9/22/2013 & rated 87 points: Fat, rich, and leesy. The rs coming across more as fatness than sweetness, which is nice, but this isn't my favorite of the range. (4301 views)
Tasted by WMWG on 7/29/2013: Smokey oak surrounds pears and apples. Agree with poster below that there is a waxiness to the finish. Sweet and lush, higher alcohol content slightly apparent. Enjoyed with chicken Francesse. (4517 views)
Tasted by kurishin on 7/20/2013 & rated 90 points: Acidity, pears, lychee? Off-dry. Really good stuff. Drink or hold. (4273 views)
Tasted by RogerG on 3/1/2013: (1 of 2) Crisp, buttery, appley and creamy (468 views)
Tasted by Neras on 1/23/2013 & rated 90 points: Nice, starting to taste old. Not sure if I like it this way, but will keep the last bottle for a few years and try it out. (4868 views)
Tasted by Goodwine4ever on 1/20/2013 & rated 89 points: Jaune doré,sur des notes de fleur et un petit coté épicé typique des pinot gris mais pas trop aggressif en bouche.Très bien équilibré. (2485 views)
Tasted by lumpyelbow on 12/16/2012 flawed bottle: Tiniest bit of TCA but barely perceptible. Otherwise, I really like this - see previous notes. (2181 views)
Tasted by Wrighty on 12/2/2012: Light, clear colour. Reticent nose with hints of toast, a whiff of petrol and just now a little butter. Palate is quite full, waxy. Beautifully crispness makes the mouth salivate. Decent dry finish. (2074 views)
Tasted by Antti on 10/16/2012: Better than 2007, this seems to be more interesting. Expresses itself well on the nose, throwing honey and yellow fruits. I guess the expected mushroomy and mineral character will emerge with age, but right now I enjoy the fruity aromas in this. As expected, rather weighty in the mouth, even a bit oily, but no worries, it's got the acidity to balance. (2247 views)
Tasted by lumpyelbow on 9/15/2012: D&T over for a visit. (1920 views)
Tasted by forceberry on 9/12/2012 & rated 95 points: Medium deep yellow green color. Spicy and rich nose with some lovely freshness as well; ripe aromas of yellow stone fruit, honeydew melon, lychee and some loamy earth. Very intense and quite full-bodied in the mouth with some serious weight and heft, yet not without noticeable, structured acidity and mouth-cleansing minerality. Starts with a waft of honey and cantaloupe, but dries up with the acidity, settling down between dry and off-dry. A cornucopia of nuances: honey, honeydew melon, orange blossom, stony minerality, pear, ripe citrus, Asian spice. Despite its size and richness, the wine is not an overdone fruit bomb, but instead surprisingly delineated, precise and elegant. Mid-length to long finish leaves a complex array of spice, florals, honey and ripe yellow fruits in the mouth with high acidity giving the wine some lovely mouthwatering freshness, even crispness.

Incredibly remarkable Alsatian white and one of the best Pinot Gris wines I know. A stunning combination of richness and structure. One of my favorite whites ever. Phenomenal QPR at 16,99€. (875 views)
Tasted by ColinR on 8/18/2012 & rated 91 points: Golden straw; pears, honeydews, limes; off-dry, melon, minerally, slightly oily, medium body, citrusy acidity, lingering finish.
Sweet pear and melon flavours with slick mouthfeel and clean citrusy finish. High pedigree. (1930 views)
Tasted by lumpyelbow on 8/16/2012 & rated 92 points: Rather restrained nose but excellent weight in the mouth with expansive coverage and flavour intensities seeming darting about stimulating different groups of taste buds. Bold with lots of excitement. A full, long and strong finish. Extremely satisfying with much pleasure. Highly recommended. 92 (1890 views)
Tasted by drwine2001 on 4/11/2012: An Extraordinary Range at Maison Trimbach (Ribeauvillé, France): Subtle pineapple aromatics. A tad of residual sugar. Great soil, acidity and expansiveness. Above class and better than many other blowsy Pinot Gris we tasted. (2804 views)
Tasted by RussK on 9/15/2011 & rated 91 points: RUSSK The Outerlimits Trade Tasting at Marriott Harbour Beach (1892 views)
Tasted by plitton on 3/24/2011 & rated 90 points: Crisp, clean and mineral driven. Medium bodied. Very enjoyable aparatif. (2487 views)

Pinot Gris

From Pinot Gris Wikipedia entry:
Wines made from the Pinot gris vary greatly and are dependent on the region and wine making style they are from. Alsatian Pinot gris are medium to full bodied wines with a rich, somewhat floral bouquet. They tend to be spicy in comparisons with other Pinot gris. While most Pinot gris are meant to be consumed early, Alsatian Pinot gris can age well. German Pinot gris are more full-bodied with a balance of acidity and slight sweetness. In Oregon the wines are medium bodied with a yellow to copper-pink color and aromas of pear, apple, and/or melon. In California, the Pinot gris are more light bodied with a crisp, refreshing taste with some pepper and arugula notes. The Pinot grigio style of Italy is a light-bodied, often lean wine that is light in color with sometimes spritzy flavors that can be crisp and acidic. Although this wine can be very sweet, it will begin to lose its acidity when it is nearly ripe.

Pinot gris is considered an "early to market wine" that can be bottled and out on the market within 4–12 weeks after fermentation.
