A very impressive wine with plenty of syrah notes on the nose -- brine, olives, and all that. Definitely feels like a wine with some Northern Rhône sensibilities. On the palate this is incredibly rich and there is so much fruit it leaves you with a distinct sensation of sweetness. High acidity but tannins that are very much dialled in. A pleasure to try, but at the going tariff, a much less convincing sell. (1752 views) |

It evolved a lot over the following hour - and all for the better. Tasted with herbed rack of lamb and greek salad which was well suited to enjoying this unique and interesting wine. La bouche est un peu moins profonde que 2007, mais c'est une soie. Un vin très élégant, avec une texture exceptionnelle, magique et très abouti, laissant une impression de grande pureté.
