Tasted by sirpat00 on 5/4/2024 & rated 95 points: At a restaurant in Königsberg, Alsace. Decanted briefly which I would advise. Extracted, ripe fruit of plum along with green olives and a meaty base. Also sweet spice and liquorish. Precise and detailed aromas. The palate dense with an unexpected acidity structure soft and finely grained tannin. Long and juicy finish. First time encounter and admittedly I am impressed. (287 views)
Tasted by Philip67 on 3/26/2024 & rated 93 points: Warm, rich, great blackberry and damson fruit. Robust structure. Persistent and straightforward. Drinking now and over the next 10 years. (930 views)
Tasted by patwjr on 8/31/2023 & rated 94 points: A touch tight at first yet still smooth. Opened up after 30 min. Got so much better, richer, smoother. Very delicious and drinkable now with some air. Everyone loved it! (2050 views)
Tasted by hprphf on 4/2/2023 & rated 93 points: Decanted. Sweet and minty dark fruit with breeze of coolness. 93 (3132 views)
Tasted by MayValley on 9/25/2022 & rated 94 points: I did not write a note, but this was really nice. Young, yes, but still quite pleasurable already. Despite being a powerful wine there was a certain airiness and a backbone of acidity that elevated the wine:) (3653 views)
Tasted by Xavier Auerbach on 9/1/2022 & rated 95 points: A private dinner (Restaurant The Lobby Fizeaustraat, Hotel V, Amsterdam, NL): Rouge. Deep and dark and concentrated – powerful and structured, very tannic, needs time in the decanter to settle down. Lots of southern warmth and richness on the nose, but there is no real heat and on the palate the weight (14% ABV) is buffered by minerally freshness. Lots of black pepper on the nose too, roses and violets and peaches, the tannins integrate well (they are beautifully judged, firm but ripe), and there is a lovely lightness of touch – I can understand the reference to Mencia. Length and drive are exemplary. I would love to revisit this in 3-5 years’ time, but secondary market prices make such an encounter unlikely, alas. On the second day the tannins have receded considerably, the warmth is gone, the marvellously glossy fruit really shines with the spices and flowers, and there is a wonderful sense of overall balance and harmony. Stunning wine. Great future. (3884 views)
Tasted by ThijsV on 7/28/2022 & rated 93 points: [Holiday @ Sailhan] We had our goodbye Pyrenees dinner at Herbege Les Aryelets, a bib gourmand in the small hamlet of Aulon. A brilliant setting and they had this wine on the list at about 1/3 of the current secondary market prices. Of course (too) young, but lovely already. Medium ruby in color, with an interesting nose; a sort of combination between the richness of a Chateauneuf du Pape, the power and aroma’s of a Northern Rhone Syrah and the lightness of mencia. Deep, cherries, meaty, violets, garrigue. I brought the bottle with one glass left home and on day 2 it had transformed into a much lighter and more elegant wine. Medium+ acidity, medium tannins (surprisingly well integrated already), long finish

Great bottle and would love to see where its heading in its evolution, but definitely not at current market prices (3169 views)
Tasted by mye on 5/30/2022: Decanted for 2-3 hours.. really unique and tasty. mix of red and blue fruit, great acidity, Sure it'll age for a long time, but tastes plenty good now. Curtis needs to try another btl! :) (3134 views)
Tasted by glou.sf on 5/17/2022 & rated 95 points: I decanted this for a couple of hours the night before, put it back in the bottle and let it sit in the wine cellar until the following evening.

Floral nose with violets, dark cherries, red fruit, smoke, and black currants. It's a big wine, but not at all over the top and had a nice lifted quality. Good acidity on the palate and generally ripe, but well balanced. More dark and red fruit, currants, and plums follow. Pretty long finish. This wine is all about the fruit at this stage, which is perfectly ripe, but not overdone. Great wine, will only be better with time and it really needs a few years in the cellar. 95+ (2464 views)
Tasted by Satoshi Nakamoto on 11/21/2021 & rated 87 points: Rich and brooding with an gamey, feral edge and a poopy nose that reminds me of older Levet. Moderate finish and mainly just tannic as opposed to deep or complex. A decant with many more hours in the bottle didn’t do anything to help. Just very lackluster at this current stage. (2637 views)
