Tasted by ReinhardtS on 11/27/2020 & rated 86 points: Still quite sharp, but definitely ready to drink. (849 views)
Tasted by Alaskawino on 3/21/2019 & rated 88 points: Dark to medium purple with some garnet. Fruit and green cedar. Palate is dark cherry and plum with high acid and fine tannins. Long fruit finish with subtle spice. (1175 views)
Tasted by Alaskawino on 1/12/2018 & rated 87 points: Classic Shiraz with good balance. Time to drink. (1636 views)
Tasted by Bsmith457 on 7/31/2017 & rated 87 points: Medium in colour. Dry aroma, cedar, sawdust, and tar. Slightly hot aroma. Blackberry is evident before you taste it, black current, prune. Walnut, clove and Tobacco to finish. Medium body, long finish. Tannin is aggressive and a bit harsh. A bit of eucalyptus in the finish. Not sure if it will improve further with age. (2105 views)
Tasted by Jimmy23 on 7/25/2017 & rated 88 points: Very nice. Opened up quite well. Robust berry flavour. Still has legs for a few years left. (2121 views)
Tasted by kmicho on 5/11/2017 & rated 87 points: A pretty good wine. Nice balance of earth and berries. Earth is dominant. Worth the $16. (1681 views)
Tasted by Bsmith457 on 9/23/2016 & rated 90 points: Deep dark Crimson with red rim. Aroma of sawdust, leather and light barnyard. Blackberry, raspberry, olive and bitter cherry. Medium body with long finish. Tannin is evident at the finish, slightly coarse. Not overly smooth and the fruit sits slightly back b (1967 views)
Tasted by moods on 9/22/2016 & rated 88 points: Intense cherry aromas, with notes of iron and earth, and some roasting meat juice characters too. Some sweet coconut cream. Palate is chock full of juicy fruit. Tannins are nicely integrated. Alcohol gets you after a while. (1536 views)
Tasted by gravelld on 7/9/2016 & rated 82 points: Dark cherry nose. More complex palate with black and cherry fruit attack, followed by some slightly hot oak. (1307 views)
Tasted by MadisonWIneGuy on 5/25/2015 & rated 90 points: Mostly blueberry, but a little cherry cola too, and a nice amount of eucalyptus on the nose. Full bodied and smooth, this really opened and calmed beautifully on days 2 and 3. Palate same as nose, and the eucalyptus puts this over the 90 pt threshold for me. Not a bombastic Aussie Shiraz, but I certainly wouldn't call it restrained either. Barossa seems to have the more over-the-top wines, and this is just a bit shy of that. Very enjoyable, with a lengthy, tasty finish that makes you want to pour another glass. 90-91 pts. (1995 views)
Tasted by Martnmac on 9/24/2013 & rated 88 points: This feels like it needs some time. Decanted and drank over a lingering Tuesday BBQ dinner definitely opened a bit. Dark fruit. Black cherries. Hint of butter chocolate. Double yummers for sure. Many and extra half a yum for the future potential Liked! (3776 views)
Tasted by moods on 9/14/2013 & rated 87 points: Very herbaceous. Lots of thyme, rosemary, mint. Meaty. (3097 views)
Tasted by Rowchan on 9/10/2013 & rated 88 points: Clear, almost black purple, with pink rim with slow zig-zagging streaming tears.
Clean, med intensity, aromas of cassis, cooked black cherries, black pepper, dark chocolate, with a hint of Sichuan peppers.
Dry, med+ alcohol, med tannins, light acidity, med to med- body, the wine started nicely but softened almost excessively after a while. Further tastes of mushrooms, red currants, red licorice, beefy undertones. It is a sharper than usual Shiraz but very nice to drink and would pair well with lamb, venison... (3053 views)
Tasted by trastevere on 8/13/2013 & rated 90 points: A great match with BBQ ribs! Smoky dark chocolate and berry aromas give way to smooth dark berries, spice and bitter dark chocolate, held together by fine tannins and a lovely finish. (2966 views)
Tasted by gravelld on 7/6/2013 & rated 86 points: Purple colour. Meaty, berry and cherry nose. A little muted, dominated by the warmth of the alcohol. Palate shows more fruit, almost tangy on the mid palate, follows with more meaty flavours. Excellent barbecue wine. (2448 views)
Tasted by jarelj on 5/28/2013 & rated 84 points: Simple bright fruit on the nose and identical on the palate, maybe a little spice but mostly just fruit. Pair this with a dish that is really spicy and it's a good match, I served it with grilled chicken hot wings and it was a big hit, so maybe a good BBQ wine? Finishing the bottle afterward on its own there just wasn't much to it, no evident tannins and little acidity. I think the same quality can be had for $8.99 with another Aussie Shiraz so at $15.99 at CostCo this one was maybe still a little overpriced. Won't buy again but I didn't dislike it. (1391 views)
Tasted by austinbeeman- austinbeeman.com on 5/18/2013 & rated 90 points: CELLAR SELECTION.
This wine will need time as all the pieces are here, but it is closed down. Some black cherry on the nose, but the palate is lean and tight. Powerful and stern, but just a touch disjointed at this point.

$19.99 OH retail

Tasted by TEH on 5/14/2013 & rated 83 points: Pnp- unappealing fruit bomb (1501 views)
Tasted by DavidDay on 4/16/2013 & rated 88 points: Black cherries and blackberries in the nose, similar fruit on the palate, rather simple, full-bodied. (1390 views)
Tasted by trastevere on 2/21/2013 & rated 88 points: Dense dark berry fruit, lots of black peppercorns, dark chocolate, smooth tannins, good finish. (1429 views)
Tasted by Solde on 2/20/2013 & rated 88 points: Slightly muted. Dark berries, herbs, mint and chocolate, some dark fruit jam.

Very jammy and slightly sweet. Has tannins, but are manageable. Has some acidity. Very dense and full bodied. Maybe some liqoirice, anis.

Overly sweet and jammy and thus in imbalance. (1552 views)
Tasted by urban_dk on 1/27/2013 & rated 88 points: Oodles of blueberry, eucalyptus and mint flavors hit the palate with the subtlety of a cricket bat. Not overly complex, but certainly a good QPR wine to serve with rich lamb or venison dishes. Also worked well with Texas-style beef tacos. (1409 views)
Tasted by Rupasov on 1/22/2013 & rated 85 points: Смородиновые почки, смородиновый джем, черный шоколад. Хорошая кислотность и тельность, сочный, чуть солоноватый вкус, мягкие танины.

Довольно простой, но очень типичный новосветский Шираз. 15/20 (1553 views)
Tasted by Bsfoakdale on 1/19/2013 & rated 87 points: I agree with others; not a special wine, but let it open and it's a nice drinking wine on its own at a good price. (1342 views)
Tasted by dkstar1 on 1/9/2013: Oof. Toughest wine I've had to drink in awhile. No thanks. Proud that my 4 1/2 year old daughter picked up the chocolate in the nose. (1406 views)
