Tasted by tantotinto on 11/29/2017 & rated 90 points: Tasted side by side with the same wine from the 2013 vintage that had been opened a couple of nights earlier. Not a lot of difference. (1613 views)
Tasted by ledocq on 12/30/2015: At Post Ranch -- no formal notes, but part of a compare/contrast with Tablas Creek's white. Not much of a nose, but a very deep wine, much structure to it, went very well with salmon. Not as fruity or floral as the Tablas, but just as excellent. (3193 views)
Tasted by vinophobic on 9/11/2015 & rated 92 points: Delicious and rich while achieving a harmonious balance of relatively muted fruit, floral and mineral notes with the wee bit thick, oily viscosity you would expect from a M/R dominant mix. The best white I've had from Paso. Opened next to a Sanguis white blend, compared to which the Booker was leaps better. (2728 views)
Tasted by The Wine Write on 8/6/2015 & rated 92 points: Popped, poured, drank over 2 nights. Was a bit concerned after reading some recent reviews, but I found the wine lovely. Nice fruit profile, flowery aromas, and a long, smooth finish. (2662 views)
Tasted by ScottPreston on 8/3/2015 & rated 87 points: I have to say i was a bit disappointed in this wine. I think it lacks depth, richness and balance that i have found in Southern Rhone whites will similar grape composition. uninteresting and a bit flat. (2601 views)
Tasted by PinotPaul on 5/17/2015 & rated 91 points: Absolutely wonderful. (1810 views)
Tasted by christophee on 2/7/2015 & rated 93 points: Yellow, gold and heavy in the glass. Abundant nose of cedar, slate minerals, yellow flowers, tea, mellon, vanilla, citrus, dry grass, apple and pineapple. Full body, complex and pretty amazing…several mouthfuls made me pause. Loads of polished, high-quality citrus, stone, and melon fruit. Generous minerals and spice. Near perfect barrel program. Long, decadent finish. Big, balanced, cohesive and powerfully elegant.  Tasted by UofM on 1/4/2015 & rated 91 points: Had with oysters and crab apps on Xmas eve. Hazy gold in color. Really nice body with melon, pear shingling thru. Love this wine every time I have it (1361 views)
Tasted by jhieb on 1/4/2015 & rated 92 points: Beautiful. Well balanced, and not at all heavy. Tropical notes, with nice richness. (1479 views)
Tasted by Cantina Hill's on 8/11/2014 & rated 80 points: hazy, slight oxidation detracterd from flavor. (1947 views)
Tasted by ravbik on 7/26/2014 & rated 91 points: Golden, medium bodied , slightly effervescent , honey, melon, crisp apples, initially sweet but more balanced on day 2. Moderate sediments or residue for white. (1823 views)
Tasted by JDRFoster on 7/14/2014 & rated 91 points: No formal notes. Just balanced and enjoyable now. (1616 views)
Tasted by signotim on 4/23/2014 & rated 91 points: cloudy gold color. honey, honeysuckle, melon, and floral notes on the nose. similar up front on the palate with sweet, citrus notes coming on mid palate thru the back end. nice, medium length finish and significant sediment on last pour. (1433 views)
Tasted by fdub on 3/2/2014 & rated 92 points: Nice melon, pear and roundness on the nose and palate but with a great beam of acid to keep it fresh. (1923 views)
Tasted by Vinophiliac559 on 2/2/2014: Straw yellow, slight cloudiness (unfiltered), medium concentration. Moderately intense nose of mostly white flowers. Off dry, medium acidity, medium alcohol. Lemons and lemon grass on the palate, medium minus finish. Ok wine, not my style. (909 views)
Tasted by GTFreek on 11/7/2013: 66/14/14/6 Rousanne/Viognier/Petit Manseng/Marsanne. Somewhat cloudy color. Nose is pretty style, white flowers, dry honey, lemon zest. Palate is round, juicy citrus, slight sweet almond, baked apple. Really nice wine, pretty unusual blend/location.

397 cases made. (1842 views)
Tasted by MXL on 9/9/2013 & rated 90 points: I was missing the acidity on this one. Had it at the winery and loved it but this bottle lacked the pop. Flavored were lovely, just a great blend just a little disappointing as Booker is one of my favorite wines all the way through. (1922 views)
Tasted by danielbleier on 9/8/2013 & rated 92 points: very floral nose, with flavors of quince, melon, peach and mineral. Deep and long, flavors persist to a slightly herbal finish. (2049 views)
Tasted by whitmanlholt on 7/13/2013: Popped and poured. There's a lot of sediment and stuff floating in the bottle. The color is a cloudy pale straw. On the nose, there is lychee and some various tropical smells. In the mouth, there is a slight lingering sweetness. Overall, this is an odd and unique wine. Not sure how to rate it. (1937 views)
Tasted by rdsboca on 7/6/2013 & rated 91 points: Very interesting wine. Yellow hew with noticeable fizz on opening. Primary fruit flavor for me was a tropical pineapple note. Has a nice mouthfeel with a bit of an oily note. Note thick, just mouth coating. Crisp pure fruit. Many layers of flavors but I can't put my finger on them. (1767 views)
Tasted by KCBrian on 6/30/2013 & rated 92 points: Loved this wine. A very complex rhone style. (1552 views)
Tasted by Jdubb1123 on 6/17/2013 & rated 93 points: Absolutely delicious, most interesting white I've had in a while. Love the unfiltered style, wish I had more! (1598 views)
Tasted by MarkC on 6/5/2013: Kind of a weird mix between a hefeweizen, and IPA, and Champagne. Not my cup 'o tea. (1974 views)
Tasted by jlaws7lh on 5/30/2013 & rated 93 points: Awesome wine from an awesome winery. This is a great change of pace for great chardonnay drinkers. (1505 views)
Tasted by Azbearoh on 5/26/2013 & rated 92 points: Very tasty white with notes of pear and minerals. Different from the 2010. A bit sweeter (petite manseng?) than other Booker whites. I will have to get another bottle. (1530 views)

Booker Vineyard

Producer website

White Rhone Blend

A white wine containing two or more Rhône varieties, including: Viognier, Marsanne, Roussanne, Clairette, Grenache Blanc and Bourboulenc.

USA

American wine has been produced since the 1500s, with the first widespread production beginning in New Mexico in 1628. Today, wine production is undertaken in all fifty states, with California producing 84% of all U.S. wine. The continent of North America is home to several native species of grape, including Vitis labrusca, Vitis riparia, Vitis rotundifolia, and Vitis vulpina, but the wine-making industry is based almost entirely on the cultivation of the European Vitis vinifera, which was introduced by European settlers. With more than 1,100,000 acres (4,500 km2) under vine, the United States is the fourth-largest wine producing country in the world, after Italy, Spain, and France.

2021 vintage: "Unlike almost all other areas of the state, the Russian River Valley had higher than normal crops in 2021, which has made for a wine of greater generosity and fruit forwardness than some of its stablemates." - Morgan Twain-Peterson
