Tasted by clutj on 1/11/2021 & rated 92 points: Very good, rich, good fruit still, in a good place still. (562 views)
Tasted by Swekman on 6/26/2017 & rated 89 points: Notes of apples, peaches, minerals, and pineapple. There is oak and vanilla on the finish. Decent. (2106 views)
Tasted by cjcm on 6/15/2016: Nice - not overly oaked, good body (great with salmon). Good balance. (2634 views)
Tasted by oldwines on 1/3/2016 & rated 92 points: Enjoyed at the Family Holiday Party...Similar to previous, great QPR...medium lemon Yellow, with minerals, citrus and butterscotch on the nose. Honeysuckle and Lemon on the palate. generally preferred to the 2013. (2854 views)
Tasted by oldwines on 11/16/2015 & rated 91 points: Crisp light to medium yellow color. Nose of citrus/lemon, minerals, wet stones and green apple. With some air and a warming up to cool room temp from cellar temp you get a rounder almost buttery element but it is clearly in the background. This has plenty of acidity and should last a good while in the cellar. Nicely paired with tortilla crusted shrimp in a cumin butter sauce and cilantro (and a tomato, avocado and queso garnish) over rice for lunch. (2906 views)
Tasted by Swekman on 8/22/2015 & rated 90 points: Nose of apple and vanilla with oak overtones and a smooth finish. Very good. (2555 views)
Tasted by oldwines on 8/1/2015 & rated 92 points: Medium yellow color. Lots of minerals, wet stones and citrus in the nose. Very bright with nice acidity on the palate. Minerality is very nice and the citrus has a more chewy sense to it than the nose would suggest. Tropical fruit on the finish. With a little air it gets weightier and more round in mouth feel. One of the best QPR in chard I have seen recently. Well made and long lived, plenty of time to continue to improve in bottle (1439 views)
(1076 views)

Chardonnay

The Chardonnay Grape

USA

American wine has been produced since the 1500s, with the first widespread production beginning in New Mexico in 1628. Today, wine production is undertaken in all fifty states, with California producing 84% of all U.S. wine. The continent of North America is home to several native species of grape, including Vitis labrusca, Vitis riparia, Vitis rotundifolia, and Vitis vulpina, but the wine-making industry is based almost entirely on the cultivation of the European Vitis vinifera, which was introduced by European settlers. With more than 1,100,000 acres (4,500 km2) under vine, the United States is the fourth-largest wine producing country in the world, after Italy, Spain, and France.

2021 vintage: "Unlike almost all other areas of the state, the Russian River Valley had higher than normal crops in 2021, which has made for a wine of greater generosity and fruit forwardness than some of its stablemates." - Morgan Twain-Peterson
