Tasted by Rhone Rick on 12/25/2020 & rated 91 points: Was a touch hot and sour, per the other notes, but after sitting for 3hrs uncorked (not decanted) it mellowed into something far more interesting, balanced, expansive and lively. Glad I have more. (1140 views)
Tasted by gazinho on 10/19/2020 & rated 92 points: Deep ruby colour
Berry compote aromas with vanilla notes.
Sour cherry, a bit tart on initial taste, which softens with food
Very Berry
The wine exhibits all of its origins, like an unfortified dry Port.
Lovely rounded fruit finish (1160 views)
Tasted by Kriz on 5/17/2020 & rated 88 points: I was expecting more, much more. This is a lot of wine but all one-dimensional. A nice wine but not worth the 45 euro's I paid. 10-12 euro's and I would be happy.
...looking back I see that I paid 65!! Pure scan and not worth it. (1235 views)
Tasted by amenges on 5/16/2020 & rated 89 points: I was exepwcring more. Felt a bit hot and maybe slightly unbalanced. Tannins we’re firm but integrated. A hint of smoke and then also deep dark berries. At approximately $90 definitely not a value and not sure I would buy again. (1184 views)
Tasted by MikeJK on 4/2/2019 & rated 90 points: Ripe, modern style reminiscent of CA Cabernet in structure but with the distinctive aromas and palate of indigenous port varietals. Rich, well integrated and supple tannins. (1291 views)
Tasted by mikemboutiquewines on 10/30/2018 & rated 87 points: Thin, one dimensional, disappointing. (920 views)
Tasted by darrenv on 7/21/2018 & rated 92 points: Needed some air, but after an hour opened up nicely. Very intense colour and fruitful nose that blew me away. Black cherry and plum, some toasty oak. Very smooth and went well with salmon and bbq ribs.
I was expecting something like a Quinto do Crasto, but found it more like a Super Tuscan. (1055 views)
Tasted by Genghis88 on 1/29/2018 & rated 91 points: Drank over two nights.
Big, bold, powerful full bodied red
Some spice, fruit leather, dark fruit, plums
A bit of a fruit bomb. Lots of acidity. Some anise. Medium finish

This is definitely a New World style wine lacking a lot of the traditional
characteristics one typically finds in a Douro. That being said, it is still a well structured wine. It was a lot softer day two, and it should age well. A good wine even though some might find the price a little high, and not to there liking if they are seeking a traditional Douro wine. (1111 views)
Tasted by Anthony Lombardi on 10/19/2015 & rated 87 points: Another big, fruit heavy wine. Violet colored all the way through. Big powerful aromatics are lovely showing ripe plums & currants. Spicy dark berries are balanced moderately with some acid, but this is longing for tannic structure and I didn't find enough to counter this much fruit. After the rich berry notes, some spicy layers emerge on the mid palate offering some pleasant complexity.

This wine is looking for grace & finesse to compliment the big fruit. Candidly, one of the poorer qpr's I've found as there is tremendous charm in many Douro wines at a fraction of the cost. This leans to the "international" style which is not mine. (2403 views)
