Tasted by hajoha on 8/11/2022 & rated 92 points: Åpnet litt tung på labben - skikkelig feit og manglet spenst.
Fremstod nesten litt "advanced"
En time med luft gjorde underverker.
Strammet seg nydelig opp og man sitter igjen med en sexy formfull nydelig Village. (1019 views)
Tasted by hajoha on 4/1/2021 & rated 92 points: Bernard Moreau Chassagne-Montrachet 2015.
Lang.
Strålende Village. 91-92p (1855 views)
Tasted by Burgland on 2/14/2021 & rated 91 points: I am a fan of this producer, so I am not surprised that this village wine is performing o well. The nose and palate clearly announce that it is a Chassagne with that unique spicy quality. This could not come from Puligny or Meursault fruit. Ripe pear on the nose. White peach, pear, and spicy baked apples on the palate. A kiss of oak and some heat (which works well). Village white Burgundy cannot be better. This punches above its weight. (1707 views)
Tasted by Battersea James on 2/13/2021 & rated 91 points: Consistent with previous note. (1666 views)
Tasted by mye on 2/6/2021: Loaded with orchard fruit, citrus. Palate shows a richness that feels a touch heavy, though there is the usual acidity I see in Moreaus that balances it out. I prefer the '14 I had a few months back, but love the producer, and this bottling punches above its level. (1461 views)
Tasted by Capt Cutlass on 2/2/2021 & rated 87 points: Clear, no sign of oxidisation on the colour. Nose is quite absent - faint hints of apple peel. A lot more going on in the mouth! Rich as befits the hot vintage. Plenty of oak and alcohol heat. Apple compote. Too heavy for my palate. I would have a hard time getting through a bottle of this... (1293 views)
Tasted by Battersea James on 8/8/2020 & rated 91 points: I thought that this was drinking really well. Had more complexity going on than previous bottles tried in the last 12-18 months. I think this could be beginning to come to life! (1065 views)
Tasted by Battersea James on 2/8/2020 & rated 89 points: Ditto tasting notes of last year - enjoyable but not a huge amount of complexity here. (1289 views)
Tasted by Battersea James on 11/24/2019 & rated 89 points: Solid Chassagne. Not a huge degree of complexity but enjoyable. (1333 views)
Tasted by steinersing on 11/1/2019 & rated 89 points: a very solid showing for the level (1617 views)
Tasted by fcxj on 10/28/2019 & rated 88 points: Attractive. (1642 views)
Tasted by Ms. Bubblehead on 9/28/2019: Semi-Blind White Burgundy Dinner

I guessed Moreau more out of luck and having recently tasted some of Alex's village wines recently, where he definitely outperforms. For a 2015, the wine had ok acidity, not too ripe tropical fruits and some gravel sensations. This bottle went fast. (1519 views)
Tasted by DanielOsman on 5/12/2019 & rated 91 points: Pale green clolour, line and apple nose, medium bodied, lime, minerality, pears, hint of cream. Good acidity and a medium/long finish. Really nice. (1337 views)
Tasted by DanielOsman on 12/31/2018 & rated 92 points: Subtle nose of lime, orange and floral notes. On the palate this is a multi-dimensional thrill. A minerally salty lime beginning, unfolding to fleshy peach fruit, then kicking backing into a stronger lemon and lime flavour with cream and a strong acidity which gives it a very long finish. Lovely wine. Drink now or keep for a few years. (1510 views)
Tasted by Winopatel on 12/27/2018 & rated 91 points: Brown butter taffy on nose lemon tart dry great white (1364 views)
Tasted by rocknroller on 8/12/2018 & rated 90 points: IPNC Van Duzer Group Rapid Reunion (Chez Siggy & Jenny's Place, Mpls, MN): Pale green color. a younger feel, vanilla, more oak still, spiced pear, medium full body, rounder than the '14 J Carillon PM, and more wood remains. Needs a bit more time, but has the goods. 90+(+)pts. (2452 views)
Tasted by hajoha on 5/25/2018 & rated 90 points: Nydelig parfymert og hvit i frukten med fortreffelige toner av krittmineraler på duft.
Glatt munnfølelse.
Pen fylde, konsentrert frukt og god friskhet.
Ganske "steinete" i utgangen.
Lang og fast finish med herlig mineralitet.
Ingen skam å drikke nå, men tar gjerne mer kjellertid.
Smooth sailing i varmen. (2291 views)
Tasted by rjonwine@gmail.com on 4/5/2018 & rated 92 points: Light green-tinged yellow color; aromatic, reduction, toast, lemon gelee, lime nose; tasty, lemon gelee, lime, light toast, mineral palate with good balancing acidity; medium-plus finish (1478 views)
Tasted by depechemoroder on 3/10/2018 & rated 91 points: Dense and opulent for a Chassagne, typically broad in this vintage. Toasty and gunflinty on the nose, the oak isn't shy. Lemon curd and riper apricot notes with some nice herbaceousness in the mid palate, there's an intense caramel finish. Good acidity and energy here, but feels a bit New World at times. (2069 views)
Tasted by Nanda on 3/3/2018: La Paulée de SF Grand Tasting (Fairmont Hotel, SF CA): Lovely bright nose with mineral and orchard fruit. Good richness and nervous energy. 89-90 (2596 views)
Tasted by Burgundy Al on 3/3/2018 & rated 89 points: La Paulée de San Francisco - Grand Tasting (The Fairmont - San Francisco CA): Tasting, brief note. Broad cross-section of apple aromas and flavors with spice hints. Rich, while nicely balanced. Very good now. (2865 views)
Tasted by Nanda on 11/21/2017: Tasting at Domaine Bernard Moreau with Alex: Terrific nose of ripe, sweet orchard fruits with minerals. The palate has excellent excellent sweetness and roundness of fruit balanced by good acid freshness. Plays up, for sure. 90+ points. (2143 views)
Tasted by Ben Christiansen on 11/18/2017: I remember it being super crisp and it’s not now. With some mid palate and pull. (1526 views)
Tasted by hajoha on 7/24/2017 & rated 91 points: Drukket på Degusto i Neive.
(1514 views)

Burgundy

Les vins de Bourgogne (Bureau interprofessionnel des vins de Bourgogne) (and in English)

Burgundy - The province of eastern France, famous for its red wines produced from Pinot Noir and its whites produced from Chardonnay. (Small of amounts of Gamay and Aligoté are still grown, although these have to be labeled differently.) The most famous part of the region is known as the Cote d'Or (the Golden Slope). It is divided into the Cote de Beaune, south of the town of Beaune (famous principally for its whites), and the Cote de Nuits, North of Beaune (home of the most famous reds). In addition, the Cote Chalonnaise and the Maconnais are important wine growing regions, although historically a clear level (or more) below the Cote d'Or. Also included by some are the regions of Chablis and Auxerrois, farther north.

# 2013 Vintage Notes:
* "2013 is a vintage that 20 years ago would have been a disaster." - Will Lyons
* "low yields and highly variable reds, much better whites." - Bill Nanson
* "Virtually all wines were chaptalised, with a bit of sugar added before fermentation to increase the final alcohol level." - Jancis Robinson

# 2014 Vintage Notes:
"We have not had such splendid harvest weather for many years. This will ensure high quality (fragrant, classy and succulent are words already being used) across the board, up and down the hierarchy and well as consistently from south to north geographically apart from those vineyards ravaged by the hail at the end of June." - Clive Coates

# 2015 Vintage Notes:
"Low yields and warm weather allowed for ample ripeness, small berries and an early harvest. Quality is looking extremely fine, with some people whispering comparisons with the outstanding 2005 vintage. Acid levels in individual wines may be crucial." - Jancis Robinson

# 2017 Vintage Notes:
"Chablis suffered greatly from frost in 2017, resulting in very reduced volumes. As ever, the irony seems to be that what remains is very good quality, as it is in the Côte d’Or. Cooler nights across the region have resulted in higher-than-usual acidity, with good conditions throughout the harvest season allowing for ripe, healthy fruit." - Jancis Robinson

# 2018 Vintage Notes:
"The most successful region for red Burgundy in 2018 was the Côte de Beaune. The weather was ideal in this area, with just enough sunlight and rain to produce perfectly balanced wines naturally." - Vinfolio
