Quite refreshing (3064 views) | | Tasted by ken-yyz on 1/31/2008 & rated 89 points: A very nice Rosé. Bright and lively even after a couple of years in the cellar. Interesting red fruit flavours and smooth texture. (2793 views) | | Tasted by ejca on 8/20/2007: very good rose, wish I had more. (2850 views) | | Tasted by Three-Star Dave on 7/4/2007 & rated 89 points: Mmmm. Very nice. A slight bite to it, but a bit less sweet (and more sophisticated) than the average Rose. (2972 views) | | Tasted by ppl on 6/10/2006 & rated 93 points: excellent rose (3377 views) | | Tasted by Tejano on 2/3/2005 & rated 90 points: A different kind of animal...not your mama's rose. A rich and darker rose color with a fragrant floral nose backed by pungent and sharp fruit, the promise of which is delivered thru a substance of flavor that is very firm for a rose, with a dry finish and a distinctive personality. I would drink more rose if they were all like this. (2592 views) |
| Tablas Creek Producer website Tablas Creek Vineyard, founded by the Perrin family of Chateau de Beaucastel and Robert Haas of Vineyard Brands, is dedicated to growing grape varieties traditional to France's Rhone Valley. The partners chose hilly western Paso Robles for its limestone soils, rugged terrain, and ocean influence. All Tablas Creek wines are estate grown using environmentally sustainable practices.Red Rhone Blend Read about the different grapes used to produce red and white Rhone wines On CellarTracker, Red Rhone Blend is the term for a wine consisting of two or more of the traditional 13 Southern Rhone grape varieties. Typically it's the Grenache, Syrah, Mourvedre or Cinsault grapes, but can also contain the Muscardin, Counoise, Clairette, Bourboulenc, Picpoul, Roussanne, Terret Noir, Picardan or Vaccarese grapes.
A 'food' wine. Lacking pretension and intended for local consumption with local cuisine. Lacks the 'high' notes on a Bordeaux, more earthy and sharper so often a better partner to meat dishes with a sauce. Rosé Rosé - WikipediaUSAAmerican wine has been produced since the 1500s, with the first widespread production beginning in New Mexico in 1628. Today, wine production is undertaken in all fifty states, with California producing 84% of all U.S. wine. The continent of North America is home to several native species of grape, including Vitis labrusca, Vitis riparia, Vitis rotundifolia, and Vitis vulpina, but the wine-making industry is based almost entirely on the cultivation of the European Vitis vinifera, which was introduced by European settlers. With more than 1,100,000 acres (4,500 km2) under vine, the United States is the fourth-largest wine producing country in the world, after Italy, Spain, and France.California2021 vintage: "Unlike almost all other areas of the state, the Russian River Valley had higher than normal crops in 2021, which has made for a wine of greater generosity and fruit forwardness than some of its stablemates." - Morgan Twain-Peterson Central Coasthttp://www.ccwinegrowers.org/links.html
