Tasted by JJYoyo on 7/30/2022 & rated 87 points: Restaurant pour. Typical Zin upfront brambly blackberry crumble tastes, with a nice smoky finish. The Zin sweet spot is there but it is not cloying. In its price range, you could do a lot worse. I was surprised how much I liked this.
Score: 87. Relative to expectations: ++ (363 views)
Tasted by redmancge on 7/6/2022 & rated 88 points: This wine delivers a good bit above its price with some dark fruit notes and brambly spice. For $12 hard to be beat for an entry level Pnp Zin. (247 views)
Tasted by Electric Mudd on 3/31/2021 & rated 88 points: A strawberry/berry fruit nose and pretty well structured wine for 14 bucks in Chicago (456 views)
Tasted by corkscrews on 4/14/2020 & rated 89 points: A nose of dark fruit and some spice, dark garnet in color. A medium to full bodied red, with blackberry, black cherry, licorice and spices on finish, a good QPR. www.winelx.com (506 views)

USA

American wine has been produced since the 1500s, with the first widespread production beginning in New Mexico in 1628. Today, wine production is undertaken in all fifty states, with California producing 84% of all U.S. wine. The continent of North America is home to several native species of grape, including Vitis labrusca, Vitis riparia, Vitis rotundifolia, and Vitis vulpina, but the wine-making industry is based almost entirely on the cultivation of the European Vitis vinifera, which was introduced by European settlers. With more than 1,100,000 acres (4,500 km2) under vine, the United States is the fourth-largest wine producing country in the world, after Italy, Spain, and France.

California

2021 vintage: "Unlike almost all other areas of the state, the Russian River Valley had higher than normal crops in 2021, which has made for a wine of greater generosity and fruit forwardness than some of its stablemates." - Morgan Twain-Peterson
