Tasted by khmark7 on 11/24/2023: Brambley and yet elegant, almost Pinot Noir like in character. Great stuff. (630 views)
Tasted by tward on 11/1/2023 & rated 90 points: Very Good++/Excellent-
Again, very nice, see May 2022 TN. Such an inviting wine with lower tannin, brambly, spice, cranberry, just-ripe blackberry. This paired well with a risotto dish made with sautéed fennel and onion, some parmesan, and roasted garlic & tomato.

Tasted by Stampeder on 9/17/2023 & rated 90 points: It is fun to be able to try the single varietals of these grapes used mainly far blending.

Enjoyed this wine. Light with strawberry and cherryp. (467 views)
Tasted by wchrisw on 3/27/2023: A great Pinot imposter on day 1. Jolly rancher type cherry- strawberry flavors. Not that it got worse but those flavors receded on day 2/3 where it is showing more tartlike. (531 views)
Tasted by mdsh00 on 1/28/2023: Drinking very well right now. Ruby red with a spicy nose. Lots of cherry and raspberry notes with hints of black pepper. Smooth and lingering finish. A nice wine for Pinot Noir fans. (687 views)
Tasted by ey1294 on 10/24/2022 & rated 89 points: - Ruby color and aromas of cherry, raspberry and vanilla. It's balanced and has flavours of cherry with a medium body. Smooth texture with a long finish. (766 views)
Tasted by tward on 5/21/2022 & rated 90 points: Similar to my Sept. 2021 TN and similar to the most recent two TNs from other CT users. Bright crunchy red fruits, spice, something forest berry about it and it also reminds me of Alpine wines I've have from French & Italian regions bordering Switzerland. What a great food wine with low tannins. This paired beautifully with a sous vide spot prawn preparation with an almond cream sauce with a touch of chili spice and corn. (953 views)
Tasted by mwneil on 11/6/2021 & rated 89 points: Tart, slight bouquet, spicy fruit, drank with fried calamari and tuna sushi rolls and sashimi, light body but intense flavors, would drink again, interesting grape. (1195 views)
Tasted by mwneil on 9/10/2021 & rated 91 points: Light color and body, acidic, interesting fruit flavors, not easy drinking but lively, drank with grilled chicken and grilled eggplant, potato salad and corn on the cob, will drink again, we like variety in our grapes. (1130 views)
Tasted by Eatmypixels on 9/5/2021 & rated 87 points: At the winery. Light. Fruity. Simple. Having a few dips make we want to pass but hard to know on these wines as they can age and I just don’t know. (920 views)
Tasted by tward on 9/3/2021 & rated 89 points: Lovely stuff and likely getting even better over the next several years. Bright crunchy red fruits, spice, fills out more in the middle than most Counoise bottles, a bit darker, some brambly blackberry, but still most characterized by higher notes and a zippy energy. The nose and middle can come across slightly confectionary right now and I'm confident that will settle and integrate within a year. Glad to have bought a few more bottles.

Side note: I score absolute and without a nod to "Pro" reviews using the CT scale. '89' is at the very top of "Very Good" bordering on "Excellent" and I could see this getting even better. (864 views)
Tasted by Wineson on 8/11/2021 & rated 92 points: Very tasty. (796 views)
Tasted by mayakacz on 5/27/2021: Very light, would be great chilled. (620 views)

Tablas Creek

Producer website
Tablas Creek Vineyard, founded by the Perrin family of Chateau de Beaucastel and Robert Haas of Vineyard Brands, is dedicated to growing grape varieties traditional to France's Rhone Valley. The partners chose hilly western Paso Robles for its limestone soils, rugged terrain, and ocean influence. All Tablas Creek wines are estate grown using environmentally sustainable practices.

Counoise

Counoise, with its bright acidity and open, spicy, fruity character, is traditionally a blending complement for Syrah and Mourvedre. On its own, it makes a wonderfully fruity red wine reminiscent of a Cru Beaujolais.

USA

American wine has been produced since the 1500s, with the first widespread production beginning in New Mexico in 1628. Today, wine production is undertaken in all fifty states, with California producing 84% of all U.S. wine. The continent of North America is home to several native species of grape, including Vitis labrusca, Vitis riparia, Vitis rotundifolia, and Vitis vulpina, but the wine-making industry is based almost entirely on the cultivation of the European Vitis vinifera, which was introduced by European settlers. With more than 1,100,000 acres (4,500 km2) under vine, the United States is the fourth-largest wine producing country in the world, after Italy, Spain, and France.

California

2021 vintage: "Unlike almost all other areas of the state, the Russian River Valley had higher than normal crops in 2021, which has made for a wine of greater generosity and fruit forwardness than some of its stablemates." - Morgan Twain-Peterson
