Tasted by mwagner7700 on 3/28/2024: Purchased for $55. Slightly not expensive than a few of the other 20-Year Tawnies we've recently had, but nowhere near the most expensive. Beautiful maple/mahogany in color. This is pretty straight forward... Dates and hazelnut notes. Both on the palate and on the nose. There's a citrus-like acidity, which really makes your mouth water. Oh the dry side of the sweetness scale, and quite far on the dry spectrum. Typical for the Dow's house style. Medium finish. Very nice 20-Year, but a step behind some of the others we recently had.

Tasted by Rune Schwartz on 11/20/2022 & rated 93 points: Clean, discrete nose and palate. Well balanced. Elegant style. Long finish. Low complexity for a 20 years. (1597 views)
Tasted by Lyubomir Lefterov on 8/29/2022 & rated 89 points: Lovely tawny colour, with nuts and dried fruits, hint of caramel. Not bad but lack focus and details as you would expect from 20y old. Slightly disjointed.(Etihad Business class) (1976 views)
Tasted by Poussin on 6/6/2022 & rated 87 points: Didn’t make a detailed note. By the glass. Gorgeous tawny colour and translucency. Palate was good - very correct - caramel and nuts - but felt a little nondescript otherwise. Alcohol character was perhaps a little too dominant for my palate - with a couple of days’ time this would probably have resolved a little, so my score ignores this. (2120 views)
Tasted by isaacjamesbaker on 5/26/2022 & rated 92 points: Rich tawny color. Gorgeous aromas of dates, figs and dried pineapple, mixed with toffee, mango slices, cocoa, anise, caramel, even some sweet roasted pepper tones. The palate is plush and creamy with moderate acidity, with waves of yellow plum, orange peel, dried mango. The fruit mixes with complex tones of black pepper, clove, nougat, toffee, butterscotch cardamom. Very pretty with good focus and balance. Delicious, complex stuff, a lot of tawny goodness for the price -- this doesn’t disappoint. (2092 views)
Tasted by Martin Redmond on 2/18/2022 & rated 91 points: Port Primer: Mahogany color with amber an amber rim, and toasted walnut, butterscotch, spice cake, dried fig, and mocha aromas. On the palate it's full-bodied and unctuous with silky tannins and Morello cherry liqueur, honey, butterscotch, orange marmalade, vanilla flavors with a long surprisingly dry and subtly minerally finish. 20% abv|SRp-$67 (1669 views)
Tasted by Paul852 on 1/22/2022 & rated 91 points: Briefly, rather nice, better for me after it was open for 4 or 5 days. Butterscotch, toffee, vanilla, caramel, a touch of black fruit, and dark wood on the nose. Following to the palate which has a nice bite which is what leads on the very long finish.

A little pricey at ~US$60 but rather more-ish. (1658 views)
Tasted by AlphaMikeFoxtrot on 1/9/2022 & rated 89 points: Concentrated toffee, baking spices, dried red fruits, walnuts, almonds, assorted other nuts. Medium sweet, full bodied. (1536 views)
Tasted by Coachron13 on 12/17/2021 & rated 93 points: Top notch tawny. Nutty, butterscotch, one of the better tawnys we’ve had. (1401 views)
Tasted by mwagner7700 on 12/6/2021: Received as a gift. I'm not the biggest tawny fan, but I think this port can convert me. Dark amber in color. So much going on here. Butterscotch really takes top billing. But the supporting cast of hazelnut, fig, nuts, caramel, toffee and dried fruits deserve accolades as well. Sweet, unctuous, mouth coating deliciousness. This is downright fantastic. Grade: A (1459 views)

Tasted by Sundbyberg on 8/11/2021 & rated 87 points: Tawny. How exciting can it be? A bit rough, some oak, some sweetness. (1682 views)
Tasted by The Drunken Cyclist on 6/11/2021 & rated 93 points: Retail $60. While I do not sample a ton of Port, I do cycle through a number of ten and twenty year old Tawnies (or is it “Tawnys”?). An amber mahogany in the glass with an aroma that could take several paragraphs to describe: honeyed hazelnut, dried fig, Christmas fruitcake (the good stuff), toasted raisin bread, caramel, dried apricot, roasted walnut. Yeah, a lot going on here. The palate is equally complex and quite sweet, although it stops short of cloying. Rich, unctuous, balanced with more than ample acidity, this is fantastic (and a good example as to why to spend the extra few bucks over a 10YO).

Tasted by Jayarr on 7/26/2020 & rated 88 points: Wow. Incredibly sweet. Strong flavor of walnuts. Its was ok but not sure Id buy again. (1985 views)
Tasted by TheYenius on 5/13/2020 & rated 91 points: Mix of roasted nuts, hint of smoke and caramel in the finish. Medium length on the finish. Depending on the region good value for money. (2050 views)
Tasted by peternelson on 11/11/2019 & rated 92 points: beautiful, lovely elegant, balanced sugar levels, complex. top notch. classic. Southern Tasting. 92 (2330 views)
Tasted by AllRed on 4/7/2019 & rated 92 points: Nice caramelly fruit and nut nuances, nice richness; long finish. (2453 views)
Tasted by isaacjamesbaker on 3/13/2019 & rated 91 points: Deep auburn color. Nose shows deeper, more complex elements of digs, candied nuts, caramel, plum cake, I get some crème brulee and candied ginger. So smooth on the palate, full and sweet but really fresh and vibrant, too. The balance here is really lovely. Candied pecans, orange marmalade, almond cake, graham cracker, gingerbread – lots of deep flavor but it stays so vibrant. (2280 views)
Tasted by AllRed on 2/23/2019 & rated 90 points: Amber color. Nutty, with caramel undertones. Roasted nuts, caramel, maple and dried apricot flavors. Excellent. (2060 views)
Tasted by ClausP on 4/2/2018 & rated 92 points: Classic 20-year, good notes of caramel, dried orange peel and walnuts. (3009 views)
Tasted by chuckos77 on 3/5/2018 & rated 85 points: Not as good as same 10 year port with dessert. Want to try on it's own (2497 views)
Tasted by DK Amateur on 12/21/2017: Bottled 2017. Smoky, walnut-like aromas and dried fruits. Just medium sweet. Focused and precise, it is actually a lot like a bual Madeira (as noted by Xavier Auerbach) except for the acidity. Long aftertaste. Lovely.

After a number of bottles of the version bottled in 2017, it seems to be at its best a day after opening and when served fairly cool. (2354 views)
Tasted by vinhonotte on 8/20/2017 & rated 94 points: SQ863/ 20Aug2017 (HongKong-Singapore): pale tawny colour; sweet and rich, with pronounced figs, roasted leaves, cedar, coffee, chocolate; great! (3195 views)
