Tasted by redbrix on 9/29/2013 & rated 87 points: Clean and crisp with sweet peach and apricot nose. Melon, apricot, and nectar but not too sweet. Great summer apertif. (4110 views)
Tasted by Sheldog on 9/26/2013 & rated 89 points: Nice light straw color with solid body. Some straw and vanilla on the nose. Well balance with a lot of acidity, with a strong minerality and some yeastiness. Nice long dry finish. Just a little hot on the finish that put a little unpleasant tingle into your nose. This would be 90+ awesome except for the effect on the nose which I was not crazy about. Probably time to drink up if you still have it in the cellar. (4070 views)
Tasted by dzitt on 5/25/2013 & rated 87 points: Le vin est doré assez soutenu. Fruits tropicaux, citron confit, fleurs, épices et miel brut. Moyennement long, acidité faible et une certaine impression de lourdeur. L’alcool fini aussi par ressortir. Un brin décevant. (4469 views)
Tasted by Wino Laurie on 12/18/2012 & rated 90 points: Wonderful balance exhibited in this Viognier. Stone fruits with great acicity. Good nose with long finish. surprising complexity at this price point. Set off our Chicken Piccata beautifully. (5137 views)
Tasted by Wino Laurie on 7/23/2012 & rated 88 points: This viognier is always a favorite. Paired it with a unique scampi dish, flavored with spinach and licorice. Th full body of this wine held up beautifully. It exhibited tropical fruit notes and excellent acicidity..very well balanced.. (5850 views)
Tasted by Colima74 on 7/8/2012 & rated 92 points: Aromas of pina colada; peach and pear flavors that are gritty, backed by more pine apple. Nice acidity. (2592 views)
Tasted by tederf on 6/10/2012 & rated 89 points: Nice California Viognier. Peachy and floral nose. Peach and honeysuckle flavors. Enjoyable chilled with ceviche. (2748 views)
Tasted by Nyindallas on 5/1/2012 & rated 88 points: Pale straw color. Nose opens with peach and honeysuckle. Elegant wine with a touch of butter, a new peach, dry with some sweetness lurking in the background. Versatile wine that should pair nicely with many foods. Recommended. (2546 views)
Tasted by Z1nnfull on 1/17/2012 & rated 91 points: One of the best 100% Viognier we have had... We found it off-dry, with touches of peach and tangerine, a floral nose and a better than medium fruit finish (the fruit may have made it seem a slight bit sweeter than it actually is). Paired well with rubbed/cedar-planked sockeye salmon and veggies galore. Paid $17 and would buy more, definitely, great Price-Quality ratio. Exceptionally food-friendly, but would be a world class summer quaffer... (2425 views)
Tasted by Geoque on 11/27/2011 & rated 90 points: Peach/apricot on the palate, nice long aftertaste, not very upfront. (2737 views)
Tasted by TheTunney's on 11/2/2011 & rated 87 points: Honeysuckle and pear with minerals. Very complex, but interesting. (2704 views)
Tasted by jfkwines on 7/24/2011 & rated 89 points: Hint of butterscotch, some minerals good stuff (2903 views)
Tasted by greystroke on 6/8/2011 & rated 90 points: very aromatic Viognier (3071 views)
Tasted by pwarms on 5/16/2011 & rated 88 points: Seriously enjoyed this - lots of minerals, great fruit, no weird grass stuff going on.. (3159 views)
Tasted by Robyung on 5/7/2011 & rated 91 points: A great viognier with a complex array if flavours and it pairs wonderfully with all kinds of food. (3338 views)
Tasted by Jazelcer on 4/30/2011 & rated 93 points: Has a creamy butter like appeal to it. Pretty sweet as well. I'd have another glass. (3552 views)
Tasted by dave4sc on 4/9/2011 & rated 86 points: Tasted at Pourtal (3286 views)
Tasted by Colima74 on 12/6/2010 & rated 92 points: Lovely nose of white fruit. Lush peach/pear with hint of guava and lime acidity. Just perfect tonite with talapia, scalloped potatoes and a cucumber/tomato/spinach salad. About a third of the bottle sat in the fridge about a week. When we finished it, still very clean and delicious. No deterioration at all. (3536 views)
Tasted by Colima74 on 10/13/2010 & rated 91 points: Terrific nose and tropical fruit/peach on the palate. Good acidity, maybe a touch hot at this point, so maybe a few months in the bottle would help. (3553 views)

Viogner is wrong wine

This is nonsense.

USA

American wine has been produced since the 1500s, with the first widespread production beginning in New Mexico in 1628. Today, wine production is undertaken in all fifty states, with California producing 84% of all U.S. wine. The continent of North America is home to several native species of grape, including Vitis labrusca, Vitis riparia, Vitis rotundifolia, and Vitis vulpina, but the wine-making industry is based almost entirely on the cultivation of the European Vitis vinifera, which was introduced by European settlers. With more than 1,100,000 acres (4,500 km2) under vine, the United States is the fourth-largest wine producing country in the world, after Italy, Spain, and France.

California

2021 vintage: "Unlike almost all other areas of the state, the Russian River Valley had higher than normal crops in 2021, which has made for a wine of greater generosity and fruit forwardness than some of its stablemates." - Morgan Twain-Peterson
