at Eli Raban's home, Rehovot
Tasted Tuesday, December 1, 2015 by Yagil with 272 views
The bottles selected for this tasting seemed promising: all of good houses with good qualities, though not from outstanding vintages
We were 13 people at the table - a bit too much
Eli prepared lots of vegetables and tomatoes, with quality bread, excellent cheeses, and Uri prepared his great chicken stew
The white was very good - though unfamiliar style to many of the participants
the following two Hermitage were very good, though not excellent
the third wine, Cote Rotie, was excellent
the 4th & 5th wines, Cote Rotie, were very good, almost excellent
2010 Cave de Tain Hermitage Blanc Au Coeur Des Siècles 89 Points
France, Rhône, Northern Rhône, Hermitage
light golden yellow
developed ripe white fruits aroma with notes of hey, banana and tart
round, silky, mouth filling, dry white fruits flavours, full bodied, short pleasant finish
