Thanks to Brent and Chris for making this another great evening in the distant and lonely queens :) we ordered from the local uzbeki shishkobab place and once again werent dissapointed... who knew? :) :)
we actually started with a "Baltica #8 Wheat Beer" ... i love the stuff - clean and light... YUM
the food was a bit late so we went for a...
lamb kebobs and samsa....
instead of dessert we had to look at Brents pics froim Italy...that will teach me to never forget to order dessert :) kidding..actually time passed too quickly!
after the wines we decided to tackle some vintage beer...
a 1986 Samichkans Bier - nice but seemingly past its prime... cool notes of bitter chocolate.. a bit too much for me
and a `87 Hardy's..this is a second bottle for me (both from Brent - thx big guy) and again a revelation...like old PX but of course more or less dry... yummy stuff and an excellent finish to the dinner...
thanks again guys - lets repeat it soon
NV Valdespino Jerez-Xérès-Sherry Fino "Inocente" Macharnudo 90 Points

clean, dry, really benifits from some decanting... can you believe this is 16.6% alc!!!! no heat what so ever...nuts and yeast on the nose. long finish...perfect start to any offline...YUM!!!!
