Introduction

All reds tasted blind in flights of three (plus final two).

Flight 1 - White Flight #1 (plus practice pour red) (3 Notes)

Flight 2 - Red Flight #1 (3 Notes)

  • 2006 Vineyard 29 Cabernet Sauvignon Cru 92 Points

    USA, California, Napa Valley

First red of the night. Lots of oak on the nose. Not sure if it was decanted. More oak and sweet black fruit on the palate. Nice way to start, but I am hoping for more as the evening evolves.

  • 2007 Bryant Family Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon 96 Points

    USA, California, Napa Valley

Impressive but young. Tons of fruit - blackberries, blueberries, plums and cassis, with smoky meat tossed in just for fun. Smooth and long lasting. Should continue to evolve.
