Delicious glass of Saint-Véran.

Deep colour, tasty but lacks energy, highish alcohol.
Modern, international style of chardonnay, but an elegant and fine rendition.
First bottle tired, soft and sweet, thin, the sweet smell of decay. The second much better, fine and elegant, light, not a strong Brunello but okay.
Warm and slightly roasted, a true 1989, well-rounded, softer and not as persistent as the Cepparello 1990, a tad short. Assez bien.
Magnum. Rich, ripe, classic, cedar, convincingly structured, deep and layered, nicely extracted, velvety tannins.
Delicious and fragrant, cedar, sève, finesse, vegetal touch, light, creamy tannins, good length. Not a great Mouton but nice enough.
Impressive, rich and complex (honey, toffee, apple, marmalade), sweet but quite forward, not for the long term.
