Somewhat shy nose initially, but it really opened up into a gorgeous cedar bouquet after a few minutes in the glass. The palate is still immature, but it seems to have all the elements of a future superstar.
The nose was so shy that I had a hard time getting the profile. The palate was fresh, silky and rich in flavors. Still quite tannic, but definitely a lot of potential. I'm not I see the $1000 value in this wine right now, but it may just be that I don't have enough experience to predict how great wines develop over time.
Wow! What a wine! Some browning on the edges. Gorgeous nose with a good barnyard/leather smell. Well integrated palate. Very long finish. Still seems to have room to improve over time!
Nice brown edges. Very smooth aromatics with cassis, smoke and licorice. Extremely soft palate. Leather. Long finish. This was really good, but is it worth the current $600 market value?

Moderate nose. The palate is a little bit watery, but that seems in line with the style of this wine. Needs time.

Intoxicating nose. Powerful palate. Short finish. Surprisingly good despite the age and the vintage.
