Nice, Grenache-y nose of baked raspberry, violets with a bit of oak. Medium to full bodied with medium acidity. Blackberry and plum with moderate tannins. Lots here but well-balanced. Standout of the pre flight.
Nice, spicy, forest floor nose. Medium bodied and dark fruited with savory notes and damp earth. Balanced and complex with lots of life left. (my 1st, group's overwhelming 1st)
Reticent nose, touch of v.a. and furniture wax. Light to medium bodied with sweet cherry fruit. Nice but not much density or complexity. (my 7th, group's overwhelming last)
My pour had a lot of sediment. Aged, smoked meat nose. Round, sweet cherry fruit with a silky texture. Fully mature and delicious. (my 4th, group's 2nd)
Reticent nose, some spicy cinnamon. Medium to full bodied with black cherry, baking spice and leather. Fair amount of tannin still, this will easily go another 10 years. (my 6th, group's 5th)
Lots of sediment in my pour. Grape liqueur nose. Sweet black raspberry, dense fruit along with some graphite. My last but still quite nice. (my last, group's 7th)
Complex nose that kept changing, with grilled meat and furniture wax predominant. Youthful palate with sweet raspberry fruit, graphite, some oak influence and nice acidity. A few thought this was showing too much oak but it didn't bother me. (my 2nd, group's 4th)
Raisins and caramel. Light to medium bodied with a bit of heat but not too much. Assumed this was a vintage port and it performed like one. By far the oldest LBV I've tried.

Floral, candied cherry nose. Jammy, sweet fruit. Not horrible but overripe for my palate.
