Apparently a blend of 2002 and 2006 fruit. Medium yellow. Brioche/caramel nose. Rich, toasty, toffee tinged. Full bodied, complex and great length. Very much in the Krug, Bollinger, etc. big, oxidative camp. Only downside is that it is not as bright as others in the flight.
Medium yellow. Subtle aromatics. Good combination of winey fruit, slight toast, and excellent acidity. Long, complex and beautifully balanced. Said to be 80% Pinot Noir but the black fruit character is not overly assertive. For me, the best wine of the flight.
NV Jose Dhondt Champagne Blanc de Blancs Brut

Yeasty nose. Precise lemon pith, ever so slightly oxidative, really earthy, mineral finish.

NV Hugues Godmé Champagne Grand Cru Brut Rosé
France, Champagne, Champagne Grand Cru
Light pink. Lighter weight. Grapefruit peel and an interesting lavender note. Not as long or as complete as the Bara. Pretty unusual flavor profile.
