After long coordination process, back & forth emails, we finally gathered with our spouses at the Shahaf's in Lehavim. Most of us arrived by train from TLV.
We had no idea about the wines, but we knew and were told that there will be enough wine "as much as we could consume"
Ety prepared EVERYTHING on the table. Even cooked the 3 bread types.
Green pea soup, special starter, tasty main dishes, designed desserts - every dish was well prepared and of top quality.
This was a very very high class meal that one could really appreciate by reading the elaborated thank-you letters the following days…
Re the wines - no doubt that this time the 2001 Vall Llach magnum was the king of the night: it was superb!
2012 Golan Heights Winery Chardonnay Yarden Katzrin 89 Points
Israel, Galilee, Golan Heights
color: light straw-yellow colour
nose: dried apricot, oak-flavoured butter and tropical fruits aromas
palate: full bodied, smooth, silky, dried apricot, banana, butter and bitter tropical fruits flavours, good acidity, wonderful harmony, long bitter-fruity ending and aftertaste.
