Disgorged 29.10.2013, 3,5g dosage. On the darker side of yellow spectrum. A rather intense nose of apples, stewed apples, creamy oak. Elegant oxidative style which to me often means a PN based blend, but here Chardonnay shows itself very well. Very soft yeastiness to it, this might be good with food. (B+)
Slightly corked. Big bubbles that disappeared quite soon. Tangerine jam, some oak on the nose. Quite sweet, seems to have higher dosage than we are used to have now. Low accidity.
Abundant, intense, rather big bubbles. On the nose there is pronounced rye bread, apple puree, a little brioche and butter, also small yellow plum. (B+)
Somewhat reductive in the very beginning - a rubber and medicine related smell that disappeared with air. Butter, butter cookies, toast on the nose. Very long taste. High accidity, this feature reminded me of oaked Viura. With time it gets more creamy and balanced. Excellent. (A-)
Rose tinge - it is a 100% PN afterall. Fresh nose of tomato leaves, soupy, some herbs and spices, strange mish mash of aromas. Very high accidity, which made the wine unbalanced. (B/B-)
From a magnum. Supposedly a bottle from 70s, some speculated that this must have been from a legandary '76 which was especially good for Coteaux Champenois, but this is a shot in the dark, I believe. Dried herbs, hay, sea algae, exotic peppermint on the nose. Salty on the palate, dry, mineral. Waxy, very lively. Toastiness develops with air, also lovely mushrooms and forest as well as note of tangerines and orange aromas. There were comments that this reminds an old, good white Burgundy. Excellent. (A/A-)
Supposedly the bottle is from the end of 70s or 80s. Fresher, younger than Saran. More oxidative notes, cumin, toast, some bitterness, dry minerality, high accidity. This might have been slightly corked, as it had a note of basement on the nose. It was a favourite of some of the tasters though. (B/B+)
Very clear PN colour with a brown tinge. Blackberry jam on the nose, lovely barnyard, kirsch. Berries, rotten berries, medium/high accidity, light tannins. (B+)
287 bottles made. More violet, clear colour. Lovely, albeit simple fruity nose, forest berries, sweetness of shadberries and black chokeberries, also some peculiar note of camphor. Quite simple. (B)
Brick brownish, clear meniscus, sediment. A ~20+ y.o. bottle, but it was excellent and alive to my surprise. On the palate there was peppermint, berries, clove, Christmas spices. On the nose - sausage and some medicine notes. An excellent PN character. (A-)

Fresh nose of mild coconut, toasted bread and quince as well as sweet coffee. Good with food. Again an oxidative style, I suppose. (B+)
