Medium golden color. Split bottle over 3 hours. Marzipan, golden apples, oxidative, chalk, ginger root, yeast on the nose. The palate shows golden apple, somewhat sour apple peel, creamy and rich, oxidative, hazelnut, lemon, with sense of underlying red fruit, lighter moderate toast with lots of structure and dry extract.

I preferred this to my last bottle a few months ago. This time the mousse stuck around a bit longer and I felt like I was drinking champagne vs a still wine. Honey on the nose, lemon and orchard fruits on the palate. Enjoyed with my favorite champagne pairing—Cheetos.

Very pleasant yellow fruits, honeycomb, mineral. However, this turned into a still wine very quickly in my glass and I much preferred it with bubbles.
