Introduction
The group gathered for its monthly tasting in San Antonio featuring Oregon pinots. A focus for this event was on whole cluster fermentation. In general, the group appeared to list towards the top of the rankings the wines that utilized whole cluster.
2006 Scott Paul Cellars Pinot Noir Audrey 93 Points
USA, Oregon, Willamette Valley, Dundee Hills
At BWC tasting. My WOTN. Suprisingly only one other taster had this in his top three. Very lightly colored. Consistent with '13 note, orange and raspberry on delicate nose. Very soft palate, with nice strawberries, minerals. Best food wine of the night as well.

2009 Brick House Pinot Noir Cuvée du Tonnelier 93 Points

At BWC event. The lightest color of any wine at table. Herbal orange and bing cherries on terrific nose. Tart cherries, sweet spice on palate. A bit sweeter Vosne.

At the BWC event. Much riper than the '06 version. Big cherries, heat on nose. Sweet cherries, licorice, minerals. Tasted more RRV than Oregon.

2011 Cristom Pinot Noir Jessie Vineyard 91 Points

At BWC event. Finished in the top three at tasting. I had it fourth. Not sure if this needs additional time, as Jessie is always a favorite. Pure whole cluster, light in color. Solid.

2004 Etude Pinot Noir Heirloom 92 Points

At BWC event. The ringer in the group of Oregon pinots. Held its own, was my third on the list for the evening. Excellent dark raspberry and mineral notes on nose. Nice lighter raspberry, cherry notes with a damp earth aspect. Very good finish.

2008 Beacon Hill Estate Pinot Noir 90 Points
