Although there is hardly any pop of the cork or bubbles, there was a lot to like about this champagne. Clearly older, possibly a little over the hill, there is a lot of complexity. Some oxidiation, caramel apple, baking spice, brioche. Rich and lingering finish.
1 hour decant. Quite a lot of menthol/eucalyptus on the nose. I rather enjoyed this initially but it seemed to build and towards the end, I wasn't getting anything else on the nose except eucalyptus. The palate is rich with soft, deep, dark cocoa.
2 hour decant and followed a glass over at least 2 hours. Nice nose wtih great red fruit. I found a lot of alcohol on the palate, others didn't. Regardless, the palate just doesn't measure up. Obviously a blend, with a stemmy meddling taste.
Amazing nose of pure tropical fruit. Wow. The palate is rich and a bit candied and heavy. Very forward, not much balance here. A lot of sweet orange peel, apricot and nectarine.

Lots of barnyard on the nose, along with anise and pepper. The palate is smooth and agreeable. Red fruit, plush, lingering finish.

Lots of earth, a little clean funk. Floral and perfume. The palate is a bit austere, especially on the finish. Nose is very nice, palate is thin.
