My bottle. Oxidized nose - smoked, dried, nutty. Better on the palate but still somewhat tired - apricots, citrus, nuts, burnt - ok. Orange peel and apricot finish. Nose - 4/6, Palate - 5/6, Finish - 5/6, Je ne Sais Quoi - 1/2 = 15/20.
A treat from Johannes. Nose of petrol, a little dried, peach, dried tropical fruits, spice, creamy with a wonderful vanilla/baked smell. Enters dried on the palate and golden, but the acid comes in right away - juicy citrus, golden apples, baked. Really excellent cut and balance and that creamy vanilla comes out again towards the end. Just more confirmation that Domprobst is some of my favorite dirt in the Mosel. Nose - 5/6, Palate - 5.5/6, Finish - 5-5.5/6, Je ne Sais Quoi - 1.5/2 = 17-17.5/20.

My 375ml. Once again, this doesn't disappoint. Nose if apricots, marmalade, rough brown spices. 375ml brought by Michael Cohen. I'm not big on 2011 Germans, but this is simply one of the greatest young Rieslings I have ever had. The nose screams out of the glass - bright, crisp and pure beyond belief. Grapefruit, passion fruit, citrus, flowers - it's toe-curlingly concentrated and exciting. Same on the palate, but fused with honey - so delicious and light. Citrus and honey finish. This is just stupid. Thanks Michael!
