Bought at a local Supermarket for 2 EUR as an example for cheap Riesling. Presentet against my beloved Zilliken Rausch Kabinett. Unfortunately the fresh uncomplicated fruit of this cheap wine won against the Rausch... Good QPR but not a wine I would like to drink often. Lacks complexity and depth but you can drink it without any damage to your health :)
No real notes taken, will try it again tomorrow. Seams a bit closed today. Despite its high vintage typical acidity it seems a bit broad and fat and not feather like as i had expected it...
One simple word: DISGUSTING!!! Not a flawed bottle, simply a disgusting wine! After pouring the nose was quite artificial. This scent vanishes a bit over time, but the taste was artificial and unpleasant too: unripe fruit, not well integrated acidity, unripe tanins and not integrated oak (Chips). Ok, I did not expect much from a 5 EUR wine, but I could not drink more than a sip... Will not improve over time...
Did not take much notes. Still very youtful Color (purple Reflexes with hints of ruby), nice, full developed nose with medium intensity (nice oak, dark red fruits, smoke), good mouthfeel, medium+ Body and a medium+ finish with lots of dark fruits. Nice Malbec at its Peak, which will stay there for several more years.
Clear ruby garnet Color, beautiful ripe Rioja nose wih tobacco, smoke, oak and fruit. High acidity which starts to fell a bit apart, quite elegant on the palate. Wine is definitively past Peak, but still drinkable with joy so drink up now.
