  • 1983 Château Margaux 94 Points

    France, Bordeaux, Médoc, Margaux

Sweet red fruit, watermelon, dark fruit, earth on the nose. Great depth and symmetry on the palate. This was slightly more exotic than others in the lineup.

  • 1985 Château Margaux 96 Points

    France, Bordeaux, Médoc, Margaux

Best in the lineup. Fully mature and open nose of red fruit, chocolate, some coffee and asphalt. Sweet and silky on the palate. Gorgeous depth and grip on the long finish. Beautiful.

  • 1986 Château Margaux 91 Points

    France, Bordeaux, Médoc, Margaux

Dark fruit, smoke and tobacco on the nose. Super robust and tannic on the palate. Even though this had been open for 8 hours, it was more coarse than the rest of the wine. I wonder if this will every work itself out.

  • 1988 Château Margaux 93 Points

    France, Bordeaux, Médoc, Margaux

More open on the nose out of the gate than prior bottles. Lovely nose of red fruit, earth, leather. Touch of herbs/green pepper. Slightly more angular with a shorter finish than the rest of the line up, but very interesting.
