Every participant had to bring a wine of the theme. We did not know which wines were brought by the others. All wines were tasted blind, also without knowing when the wine you brought was poured.

• 2011 Selbach-Oster Graacher Domprobst Riesling Spätlese feinherb Alte Reben 90 Points

  Germany, Mosel Saar Ruwer

  Tropical yellow fruits and apple in the bouquet. On the palate yellow fruits, apple, pear, some honey, a bit sweet and a bit fat, but very harmonious. Nice wine! 89 – 90

  In the bouquet minerals, flowers, some petrol and smoke. On the palate yellow tropical fruits and litchi, some pear and bitterness, Elegance as well. Certainly a very good wine.

  In the bouquet white and yellow fruits, minerals and a touch of petrol. Same impressions on the palate, medium plus and beautiful acidity as well as some pleasant bitterness. Really good wine with a long finish.

  Beautiful, refined and complex bouquet with minerals, white fruits and spices. On the palate the same impressions, peach, wet stone, beautiful medium plus acidity with some pleasant bitterness in the finish. Still youthful.

  Beautiful bouquet with tropical fruits like peach, apricots, smoke and minerals. On the palate yellow tropical fruits, but also pear, a bit fat, a touch of sweetness, petrol and good acidity. Beautiful and still youthful.

  Beautiful and clean bouquet with yellow fruits like pineapples, peach and apple sauce. On the palate a touch of petrol, ripe yellow fruits, sweet and sour apple, honey, some flowers, good acidity with a pleasant touch of bitterness in the finish.

  Quite developed bouquet with rust, old apples and pineapple. On the palate oxidized flavors, a touch of sweetness and firm acidity. Very mature, but still drinkable. No score.

  Very developed bouquet with some marzipan, but in fact unpleasant. On the palate oxidized impressions, rust and overripe apple. The wine is too old, but the remarkable part is that the wine became more drinkable after it got some more air time. No score.

  Beautiful and clean bouquet with tart apple. On the palate a really beautiful wine with good focus, white tropical fruits, grasses, minerals, depth and really beautiful acidity. Complex and very youthful and precise wine.
