Stereotype Napa Chardonnay: Heavily oaked, massive, quite long, medium complex. Needs air and should be drunken at above 10 deg Cels. Potential of at least 5+ years. May improve a bit.
Unfortunately drunk straight after the Bogle. Youthful, pale color. After some hours it opens up, nose becomes more complex and mineral notes occurs. Length was also good. Has several years ahead but I doubt it will improve. Interesting experience though.
Clear, medium-light yellow color. Wonderful complex, fully developed nose driven by mineral notes, herbs, with almost no petrol. At the edge of being dry, I assume around 9g residual sugar, so it tends to be a bit “off-dry” but I really liked it. Massive power, complex (fruit, botrytis, mineral, salt), pressure on the palate, long finish. Great wine at the beginning of its drinking window which will last for several years and I think it will continue to improve.

Wonderful deep red color. Very elegant, youthful/developing nose, fruit, soil, iron. It was really infanticide to open this bottle at the moment. The great potential is always present, but not yet fully developed. Fine, very elegant, enormous pressure, complex aromas, still driven by primary fruit. Very long and fine finish. Great potential for 20+ years, where this wine will definitively improve.

Nose quite muted, but on the palate it was much better with lots of extract sweetness, fruit, fine-grained tannin, good acidity. Long. Guess it is at its peak, but will stay there for some more years.
Intense, youthful, deep ruby red color. Nose muted. On the palate this wine is a stunner: Extract sweetness, fruit, eucalyptus notes, elegant, velvet tannin, perfectly ripe. This perfect bottle would certainly stay there on this level for some more time.
Medium garnet red with some fine sediment. At first nose was closed, opened up over time, I guess it still needs to be decanted. Classical Barolo, lots of pressure, powerful tannin and high acidity still beautifully integrated, still lots of fruit, long finish. Maybe a bit past peak, but still lovely to drink.
Deep ruby red color, quite youthful nose with some artificial fruit (marmalade). Massive tannin and acidiy, fat, a bit artificial, IMHO far too young, needs to settle down and to mellow its fat.

Good Amarone, starting to reach its drinking window. Complex, tannin and the very well integrated acidity balance the high alcohol, very long. Good PQR.
