Sashimi is delicious, like the Zuru sauce. Wine is only OK.
The Hermitage Blanc tasted oily, I'm only OK with it.
Very interesting pairing with for gras. It worked.
Wine was only OK, failed to leave an impression.
Short ribs was a bit of anti-climax for me. It was good but did not live up to my expectation as the star of the night. The wines on the other hand were entirely different. They were definitely the stars of the night!
I don't like sweet wines, so no comments.
A good evening. I liked the restaurant and definitely enjoyed the wines.
2008 E. Guigal St. Joseph Lieu-Dit St. Joseph Blanc 81 Points
France, Rhône, Northern Rhône, St. Joseph
Not much complexity.
