The bouquet is a bit rustic with barnyard and autumn flavors and red berry fruits. Same on the palate. Firm and ok acidity, some slightly sticky tannin and licorice. Some pleasant bitterness in the finish. Can easily age a few more years. 87+

In the bouquet cherries and some autumn forest. Same on the palate. Full bodied and juicy. Some leather and coffee and a good length. Firm acidity and tannin. This bottle is much more locked than the ones I tasted before. Is the wine closing down? Have a few more, so there will be a follow up. 89+

Beautiful bouquet with dark berries, cherries, sweet spices and vanilla. On the palate the same berries and cherries, chocolate, good acidity and soft tannin with still a pleasant bite. Really nice wine.

In the bouquet dark berries, cherries and yoghurt impressions. On the palate firm dark berry fruits, full bodied, good acidity, some pleasant sweetness, eucalyptus, vanilla and coffee. Good and round tannin. Already pleasurable and definitely a future of several years.

Rustic bouquet with some barnyard, cassis smoke and green bell pepper impressions in the bouqut. On the palate firm and good acidity, dark forest fruits, the tannin is still a bit sticky. There is vanilla and a hint of eucalyptus as well. Concentrated and full bodied wine. Much better than the previous bottle I drank. Good future of several years.

Not so many notes. The bouquet is beautifully mature and shows some barnyard and rustic flavors. On the palate quite mature but still juicy red and dark forest fruits as well. The wine is fully mature now and in fact a bit better than I expected. Drink within the next two years is probably wise.

2005 Saint Cosme Condrieu
France, Rhône, Northern Rhône, Condrieu
Special and mature wine, but for some of the (more or less experienced) tasters it was their favorite beside a Riesling and an ok Burgundy. The bouquet shows anise and some oak as well as mature aromatic fruits. On the palate the same. Ok acidity. Overall a very special wine which is not dead yet, but probably has been better. No score.

2009 Jean-Claude Boisset Beaune 1er Cru Vignes Franches Blanc 90 Points
France, Burgundy, Côte de Beaune, Beaune 1er Cru
Just some short notes. In the bouquet honey and flowers. On the palate a touch of sweetness and fresh acidity. A slight touch of vanilla. With more air time and at a slightly higher temperature a firm amount of ripe pineapple became quite evident. Clean wine which can still last for a few years.
