Quite mature nose, creamy, floral, touch of butterscotch. Attractive, harmonious on the palate - but again quite advanced. Perhaps served a touch on the warm side. ***
Deep garnet, narrow rim. A touch reticent on the nose at first - showing cedar, red and black fruits, touch of soil. Fruit flavours to the fore on the palate too, which is medium bodied with good balancing acidity and a good length, still slightly firm finish. Very good indeed/excellent ****.
Very deep colour, narrow rim. Deep, dark fruited nose, plenty of tobacco, touch of mineral. Full bodied, resolved tannins, balanced acidity, not overly long but a very good, mature, masculine claret. ***1/2
Very deep ruby core, very narrow rim. the nose here is very minerally - gravel and smoke - with underlying blackcurrant fruit. Medium bodied on the palate, cool black fruit, minerals again to the fore, an attractive leanness with fresh acidity and a good length lightly savoury finish. Excellent ****1/2.
Nose is quite red fruited and there is still some sweet oak in evidence, but the palate comes together nicely - medium/full bodied with savoury red fruit, some mineral tones showing through too and a good length harmonious finish. ****
Nose is ripe with slightly baked red fruits. Full bodied on the palate, dense, rich red fruits, touch of earth, only moderate acidity which make it a bit hard work and the tannins are a touch furry on the medium/good length finish. **1/2
Attractive, cedary, cool black fruited nose, touch of mineral. Medium bodied on the palate, cedary blackcurrant fruit, mineral again. Quite light on its feet with attractive fresh acidity and a goodish length, harmonious finish. Very good indeed/excellent and drinking quite well already. ****
Ripe, pure blackcurrant fruit, youthful but with lovely purity and good nascent complexity, vanilla. Quite full bodied, very, very ripe tannins, soft, generous and rich but with decent balancing acidity and a long finish. Actually approachable now but should also age well. ***(*1/2+).
Nose is aromatic and shows a touch of development with dark fruit, hint of mushroom and a slight note of pyrazine. Medium bodied with attractive dark fruit, a touch of earth, fresh acidity but lacks a bit of depth and falls away a touch on the finish which again shows a touch of green. ***(1/2?)
Developed with mushroom, soil with underlying dried red fruit, tannins resolved, attractive spicy notes, fresh acidity, lean but with sufficient fruit and a medium/good length finish. Very good, certainly better than expected. Drink up. ***1/2
Medium/deep gold. Attractive rich nose, stone fruit, rich and sweet, a touch of mustiness at first which seemed to blow of quite quickly. Full bodied, rich stone fruit, touch of orange, lovely vibrant acidity, long finish. Delicious ****.
