Obviously young but still quite inviting and giving wine. The oak is at the forefront at this stage, as expected, green fruits, good acidity and with a nice mineral feel. Light floral and light spice touches complete the show. Quite elegant albeit young and would need a few more years to develop more complexity . 90-91 for now but with promise

A very good dry Riesling at a very good time in its life. Light touch of the "petrolly" nose, good ripe fruit, firm acidity, light citrus feel and a touch of waxy texture. Good palate presence and very versatile wine. Very good and a solid 91

Required a bit of time to open up and we chose to decant in the end. Right move we feel.
Still at the start of its drinking cycle but very much a beautiful wine. Smoky, roast meet feel on the nose blends well with dark fruits and light spice. Savoury wine, light touch of earthy notes. Bright and energetic on the palate with firm tannin. Needs time to develop and cellaring patience will be rewarded here. Very elegant and classy as always. Just a few sharp edges on the finish but this has a lot of life and a future of higher scores. 94-95 for now

Such a beautiful wine. So fresh and vibrant that adds a fluidity to the eine and makes it very enjoyable. The sweetness is well balance with vibrant yet polished acidity, good ripe fruit, honey nots, apricots. Such a beautiful wine and a solid 93 maybe more. Underrated quality here.

  • 2008 Argyros Vinsanto 4 Years Barrel Aged 91 Points

    Greece, Aegean, Cyclades, Santorini

By the glass at the Manoir aux Quat' Saisons. Just opened bottle.
Quite dark and dense, rich, nutty, chocholate notes, dark caramel feel. Dense yet the acidity lifts the wine but still has a bit of a heavy feeling that takes away some of the elegance and complexity. A solid vinsanto but felt s bit rushed to market and made with a heavy hand. Maybe being a bit harsh though given our high bar of expectations we set on Greek sweet wines which we believe are world class and probably the best the country has to offer the wine world. 91
