Every participant had to bring a wine of the theme. We did not know which wines were brought by the others. All wines were tasted blind, also without knowing when the wine you brought yourself was poured.
Overall we concluded that, however many of the wines can probably easily last another 5 years or longer, in fact all wines already are a great pleasure to drink.
2010 Château La Nerthe Châteauneuf-du-Pape 92 Points
France, Rhône, Southern Rhône, Châteauneuf-du-Pape
In the bouquet cherries, blackberries, garrigue, some leather and vanilla. On the palate a beautiful start with ripe dark and red berry fruits, dark cherries, garrigue and good freshness. Beautifully balanced wine. 91 - 92

2010 Xavier Vignon Châteauneuf-du-Pape Cuvée Anonyme 91 Points
France, Rhône, Southern Rhône, Châteauneuf-du-Pape
The bouquet seems to be still a bit locked, but shows concentration, dark berries like blackberries and herbs and spices. On the palate very ripe fruits; cherries and blackberries, juicy acidity and mild, round tannin. In this stage less interesting than la Nerthe. 90 - 91
