  I had very low expectations for this. Sois bois, garrigue, black cherry compote nose. Bit of cardomon and five spice. Smoke. Rich and round on the palate. It has put on a good deal of weight since release, when it was very lean and angular. Smoked cherry fruit. Nice finish. No need to wait further here. A pleasant surprise.

  Monthly Tuesday group "The Dead Sparrow" #027 Châteauneuf-du-Pape 2010 (By JdB): Beautiful bouquet with ripe fruits, some oak and the bouquet is still a bit locked. On the palate juicy dark berries, garrigue, autumn forest and chocolate. Delicious wine with good acidity and tannin, a great length and a good bite.

  Dark red with pleasant floral elements in the bouquet. Medium weight, ripe, dark fruits and round. Pleasant, but rather simple. Still, this a decent CNP for the price.
