Every participant had to bring a wine of the theme. We did not know which wines were brought by the others. All wines were tasted blind, also without knowing when the wine you brought yourself was poured.

• 2009 Domaine Laroche Chablis 1er Cru Les Vaillons Vieilles Vignes 90 Points

  France, Burgundy, Chablis, Chablis 1er Cru

  In the bouquet beautifully ripe fruits like bananas, On the palate some butter, minerals, lime, citrus, bananas and other tropical fruits and overall beautiful acidity.

• 2009 Patrick Piuze Chablis Grand Cru Bougros

  France, Burgundy, Chablis, Chablis Grand Cru

  Unfortunately this wine was poured a bit too warm. Nevertheless a tasting note: Mature bouquet with yellow fruits, apple and oak. On the palate a bit reductive, a bit fat, minerals, nuts and ok acidity. This bottle was quite ready and because it was served too warm I don't score it. Would probably be around 90.

• 2009 Domaine Bernard Defaix Chablis Grand Cru Bougros 91 Points

  France, Burgundy, Chablis, Chablis Grand Cru

  The bouquet is still a bit locked and not very expressive, but it shows green apple. On the palate a full bodied and concentrated wine with minerals, yellow fruits, green apples, tight and crisp acidity and a good length. Give it some airtime or decant it an hour or so in advance.

  Beautiful bouquet with citrus and minerals. On the palate beautiful yellow fruits, minerals, crustacean, almond and smoke. Full bodied and beautiful wine with a future of at least another decade.

  Beautiful bouquet with yellow fruits, minerals, some herbs and lactic impressions. On the palate a concentrated start with a lot of citrus acidity, butter, vanilla, minerals and beautiful freshness.

  Beautiful bouquet with pear, apple and minerals. On the palate beautiful citrus, green apples, minerals like flint stone, fine and tight acidity and a slight touch of sweetness. Expressive and mouth filling wine with a good length.

  Beautiful and a bit rustic bouquet with butter and citrus. On the palate ripe yellow fruits, some anise, sweet licorice, mint, good and fresh acidity, mild minerality and a pleasant touch of sweetness.

  The bouquet is a bit rustic and has minerals like stone and some yeast. On the palate a lot of fruits, minerals and focused, juicy acidity and overall a good length.

  Focused bouquet with limestone minerals and a good dose of oak. On the palate focused acidity, goose berry, hazelnuts, apricots, some oak and a good length. Will improve with 3+ years of cellaring. 92+ for now.

  Golden yellow with a green hue. Beautiful bouquet with hay, melon and pear. Concentrated and yet elegant. On the palate tropical fruits, firm acidity, minerals, green apples and good bitterness. Still much too young. Improves while in the glass. 91 - 92 for now.

• 2007 Domaine William Fèvre Chablis Grand Cru Les Clos 92 Points

  The bouquet is somewhat locked, but shows some butter. On the palate butter, minerals, rich yellow fruits like apricots and citrus, crustacean, very focused and a lot of length. Some caramel. A bit fat and yet elegant. Beautiful wine with a great future. And personally I think it is fun that in my blind note of today I mentioned the crustacean again (like in my also blind note from 2015.

  Ripe white and yellow fruits, vanilla, yeast and green impressions in the bouquet. On the palate white and yellow fruits, firm and beautiful acidity and mild bitterness. This wine probably needs another decade to show its finesse and complexity. Try around 2025 or later. 91++ for now.

  Beautiful and complex bouquet with minerals and tropical fruit flavors. On the palate a well structured wine with impressions of honey, tropical yellow fruits, passion fruit, caramel and beautiful minerals. Good and fresh acidity and a good length. 92 - 93
