Tasting at the domaine. Bottled in August. Floral with lemon curd and ripe apple on nose and palate. Very good weight and balance for its level. Fantastic Bourgogne.
France, Burgundy, Côte de Beaune, Chassagne-Montrachet
Tasting at the domaine. Bottled in January. Poached pear with some tropical hints. Good+ weight and density with impressive textures for Villages level wine. Better to cellar another year or two. Very good Villages level wine.
France, Burgundy, Côte de Beaune, Chassagne-Montrachet 1er Cru
Tasting at the domaine. Intensely floral start with apple and lemon and apple. Impressive concentration with slightly backward character today, lots of upside. 91+ point potential.
France, Burgundy, Côte de Beaune, Chassagne-Montrachet 1er Cru
Tasting at the domaine. Also floral with lots of apple, lemon peel and lemon on nose and palate. Charming nose, truly engaging palate with a bracing, long finish showcasing the wine's great minerality.
France, Burgundy, Côte de Beaune, Chassagne-Montrachet 1er Cru
Tasted at the domaine. Rich orchard fruit aromas, more reticent on palate. Good weight with plenty of energy. Needs a few years in the cellar. 90-91+ point potential.
France, Burgundy, Côte de Beaune, Chassagne-Montrachet 1er Cru
Tasted at the domaine. Very expressive aromas with lots of power and good+ weight. Fresh and bright start, more power and nearly brooding in the middle. Very good 91-92 point potential.
France, Burgundy, Côte de Beaune, Chassagne-Montrachet 1er Cru
Tasted at the domaine. Floral and spiced start with fresh herbs. Cross-section of apple aromas and flavors. Rich start. Very good length with impressive mineral textures. This is traded juice, certainly from somebody who makes great Caillerets! 92-93 point potential.
France, Burgundy, Côte de Beaune, Chassagne-Montrachet 1er Cru
Tasting at the domaine. This is all from the older vines planted in 1939. Floral, apple and baked apple with such an expressive character. Rich dense middle and a very fresh, vibrant, long finish. 93-94 point potential.

France, Burgundy, Côte de Beaune, Chevalier-Montrachet Grand Cru

France, Burgundy, Côte de Beaune, Chassagne-Montrachet 1er Cru
Tasting at the domaine. A big step up. >50% whole cluster. Also red cherry with savory spice throughout. Elegant start, more density in the middle and a bright finish. Good+ length and weight. Should soften slightly more in the cellar, so better 2021-. 89-90 point potential.

France, Burgundy, Côte de Beaune, Chassagne-Montrachet 1er Cru
Barrel tasting at the domaine, from a once used barrel. Ripe and very pretty aromas with lots of apple, some peach and rich spice. Already coming into balance. So much here with bright mineral textures. Very exciting potential.
Barrel tasting at the domaine, also from a once used barrel. Once again done with/ for PoB from the same source as before. A step up vs the 2017 (not something I will say often for white Burg in 2018). Lots of apple, apple tart, almond butter with both impressive brightness and richness. Very impressive potential. I hope to taste this again in the summer.
France, Burgundy, Côte de Beaune, Chevalier-Montrachet Grand Cru
Barrel tasting at the domaine. Quite a bit of gas males this tough to fairly assess, but massive concentration really comes through along with the inherent ripeness, along with plenty of acidity on finish. This has the stuff and stuffing to become a great wine.
