France, Burgundy, Côte de Beaune, Meursault 1er Cru
Floral and straw with good lift and the oak in the background. Youthful palate, good freshness to go along with some richer styled fruit. Should be a good medium term drinking prospect.
Light colour. Herb, cherry, grapefruit, florals. Fairly clean flavours, medium length, touch of bitterness in the herbs gives it some interest over and above the light fruit.
France, Burgundy, Côte de Beaune, Corton-Charlemagne Grand Cru
Flint, lime, mandarin and some straw. Nice pure fruit with a backing of oak. Fruit drives it forward with good persistence. Full of flavour, with more texture and interest to come in time.
Mango, smoke, pineapple, apricot and lime. Rich, with clean fruit and good drive. Very nice depth, this is developing well and will get towards its peak in the next 5 years.
Australia, South Australia, Fleurieu, McLaren Vale
Blind. Pepper, liquorice and spice with smoky oak and tobacco. The oak sits up from on the palate as well, with rich, sweet black fruits showing with heavy density on the palate. Put together in a specific style, but a bit too full on for me.
Earth, pencil shavings, roast vegetables and cherry. Sweet red fruit son the palate with some bramble and spice. Resolved and refined, drinking really well.
Australia, South Australia, Barossa, Barossa Valley
Blind. Liquorice, tobacco, smoke and mint. Sweet black and red fruits, detailed with good layers and length. Lovely wine that is drinking beautifully well.
Blueberry, toast, chocolate and raspberry. Fairly approachable on the palate, tannins are fine and there is some acid kick to it that keeps it fresh. Should develop further.
Liquorice, blackcurrant, spice, pepper and earth on the nose. Bold, punchy flavours, very powerful fruit and structure. At 15 years of age, it could definitely do with more time still!
Cherry, red berries and florals with raspberry as well - very red tinged. Really beautiful palate, classy and cool. Tannins provide fine structure and the fruit is pure and delicious. Lovely.
Plum, black cherry and smoke on the nose. Palate is super young, with fine tannins and full powered fruit to give it balance. Has good flow and the intensity doesn't overwhelm. Another 7-8 years is probably needed here.
Purple edged. Smoky oak hits on the nose, plus blackberry, blackcurrant, violets and cherry. Very powerful palate, with amplified fruit and rich flavour. Has good length about it, this is good but not sure what would happen with more time when the fruit drops off.
Marmalade, mango, pear, orange, pineapple - lifted with lovely aromatics. Zip and zingy on the palate, superb length and depth. Delicious flavour and balance. Bright and clear even with the density of the sweetness. Super well defined. Wow wine.

Melon, spice and peach on the nose. Palate shows a touch of heat on the finish, but the ripe fruits give it some pleasure now. May settle with time.
