Lovely, yeast, wet stone minerals, apple, white fruits on the nose. The palate shows apple, chalk, yeast, apple peel, a little dough. This is really is a fun wine.
Light medium gold color. Drank a small glass over an hour. I think I must like this more than most CT users, or at the least it may have aged nicely now. Apple, peach, ripe, fusil, flint, apple sweet tarts, but maybe a little flabby.
France, Burgundy, Côte de Beaune, Savigny-lès-Beaune 1er Cru
Light medium murky red color, with lots of fine sediment. PNP, drank a glass over 90 minutes. FWIW this one had a '97 cork. Regardless, this was one outstanding wine. Not only that, but it got better over an hour and never lost an iota after that. I think I am largely echoing the praise of this very special wine that we've had the distinct pleasure to enjoy. What complex and fun nose; meaty, blood and minerals first, tons of sauvage character, funk, and a dried rose petal floral perfume, dry cherry. The palate is right there with the nose; light medium body, complex, good acid, tart wild raspberry over 30 minutes, red currants, earth and spice along with that same sauvage and some iodine. Wonderful.

DArk red color. PNP, drank a glass over 90 minutes plus. Lotsof spice, pepper, nice dark fruits. The palate has dark cherry, vanilla, spiced, a ittle dfried earth and a hint of sauvage. A nice restrained more Burgundian style.
Very earthy on the nose, with dry forest floor, violets, cassis, pencil, oak. The palate shows lots of pencil, dried wood, cassis, good purity, full bodied, firmish tannins. Very good.
France, Loire Valley, Anjou-Saumur, Coteaux du Layon
Deep gold color. PNP, drank a glass over an hour. Apricot, dried orange, spice, cardamom, a touch of fusil. The palate is full and ripe, very concentrated, deep anf flavorful, pretty well balanced, maybe a tiche too sweet, but thats being a tad nit picky too. 92+pts.
