Every participant had to bring a wine of the theme. We did not know which wines were brought by the others. All wines were tasted blind, also without knowing when the wine you brought yourself was poured.
2002 Château Giscours 92 Points
France, Bordeaux, Médoc, Margaux
Beautiful bouquet with dark berries, licorice, chocolate and elegant oak. On the palate dark berries, cherries, licorice, sweet spices, chocolate, juicy and good acidity and round tannin with still a good bite. Better than the 2001 Giscours which stood beside it.

2001 Château Giscours 91 Points
France, Bordeaux, Médoc, Margaux
In the bouquet dark and red berries, a bit dusty and some barnyard. On the palate dark berries, licorice, oak, some autumn impressions, tobacco, firm and elegant acidity, but…. the 2002 was a tad better this evening.
