Very individualistic aromatics, wonderfully expressive, bitter orange and unripe mango, jasmin and elderflower, sweet spices, fresh and minerally but smooth and silky in spite of the lack of dosage, lovely tension and energy, excellent resonance and length. Cracking stuff.
As expected, this is youthful and energetic, linear and precise, tight and minerally, needing more time to develop its complexity. On the other hand it seems relatively approachable already, with its relatively generous apple and citrus fruit, and flavours of acacia and sweet spice; excellent length. Drink now - 2028+.

There is some confusion about the name of the wine, “Granit” or “Granite”. The label of this magnum bottle says the latter, but I will record it here as the former. Hermine d’Or No. 67247. Intense but lively medium yellow colour; lovely salinity on the discreet nose, with citrus and flowers, and smoky minerality; the palate is soft but fresh, light but intense, harmonious, with lemon curd and juicy apple fruit flavours; complete finish, good length.
Magnum. Bottled 11 November 2016. A blend of three barrels: 1.5 year old beer, his very first batch (complexity, with oak and some light nutty / sherry flavors (33.3%), 1 year old beer (freshness, citrusy notes, and complex yeast aromas (56.7%), and 6 months old beer (adds a liveliness to the resulting blend). Really very rare by now, really very expensive and really very good. A serious challenger for top Gueuze.
My final magnum, and it is performing beautifully. Rich and aromatic nose, beautiful ripe, crushed Shiraz fruit, red meat, fresh mint and black pepper; supple and rounded palate, concentrated and rich (14% ABV) but fresh, satiny texture, harmonious, fine-grained tannins, complete finish, very good length. Excellent performance, fully mature.
A blend of 46% Garnacha, 21% Cariñena, 19% Cabernet-Sauvignon and 14% Syrah, 18 months on oak (60% new), 14.5% ABV, production of 30,000 bottles. Magnum, double decanted. Youthful appearance, little or no browning; transparent and minerally nose, clear expression, flowers and fruit, hint of oak, smoky slate, red berries and cherries; the palate displays a lovely balance between freshness (TA 6 gr/l) and weight, full-bodied and concentrated, rich but dry and stuctured, firm but ripe tannins; complete finish, excellent length. Not austere but not charming either. Very well made but unexciting in a way, it is a very solid wine, but it does not make you sit up. Should last another decade with ease.
Really powerful and concentrated, with acidity cutting through the richness, medium sweet, close to a TBA in weight and style, lovely complexity in the evolution of the botrytis (tropical fruit, honey, Alpine herbs), substantial bitters on the tea-like finish.
